Patterson is a hypocrite. His starting QB was caught up in a drug bust and had a DUI. He's still playing.
But wasn't he suspended the rest of the year last season after his arrest?

The problem isn't that Hill is being allowed to play. The problem is with this weak move by Les Miles puting the responsibility for reinstating Hill on the players rather than publicly declaring that it was he (Miles) and he alone, who decided to let him play. That's what Gary Patterson is saying here. He's not questioning whether or not the young man should play.
JROCK said:I don't think it's a weak move at all. He deserves another chance and it's Les' business if he decided to let the team vote on it even though he suspected the outcome. Further it is his business and decision alone of the punishment he decides to levy. Damn Patterson. He just need to get ready for that ass beating in a few weeks. LSU isn't losing any season opener to no TCU with or without Hill. What that bum needs to understand is Alfred Blue started last year anyway and was injured. Blue and Hilliard would kill TCU regardless....I hope LSU beat the living shit out of those scrubs.
He was suspended immediately after for the rest of the season. He returned this year.
Hey JROCK, how do you really feel?
I still think some of you are missing Patteson's point (and my point). Who cares if Hill plays. Just don't call yourself the head coach, and then say "the players made me do it" when it comes to playing somebody. That's straight mess, and any objective person can see right through it. It took all they could do for the guys on College Gameday to not laugh out loud at Les. It was ridiculous . . . but hey, that's Les Miles. :smh:

Casey Pachall was suspended for a good portion of their season wasn't he?
"My whole team would vote Devonte [suspended TCU player] to be back on the team because they all want to win," Patterson said. "That doesn't teach life lessons."
I happen to agree with Patterson on this anyone who truly know me know this is my same stance when it come to our kids because I fuss when the TSU kids do shyt and I feel like they get a slap on the pinky it's ain't cute and it teaches the others it's that it is okay to act an ass and nothing will be done...it shows no structure or leadership and in life there is always leadership and I need mine to know that!
Uh-oh, you might be off the Miles High club now. lol jk
I was never on it when it come to friendliness with the athletes...When it come to coaching sports I am a control freak like Bill Belichick!
Regardless of what Gary Patterson said or did not say, my position on what Les Miles did has not changed.
Sooooooooo who's to say that Hill is playing against TCU?
