There is a segment of blacks that are excuse makers for bad behavior. The snitching word - tries to make it bad for reporting criminal behavior, its not the wrong thing to do when people are creating problems in your neighborhood. You also have a large segments of people that find it acceptable when people piss and their face and tell them its raining - and they believe it - forget the evidence thats on their face.

When people show you who they are - many refuse to believe it, make excuses etc.... You are not pissing on me, its rain... your right...just like you said - its rain.

Hear the anger in his voice? Thats right, new was just joking around....

N!gga and N!gger are two different things. N!gga has been created as a term as embracing in hip hop generation which i still don't use but it is what it is. N!gger is what whites blacks out of hate and degrading, especially with slaves. With the way whites did blacks in the past how do you not think there would be animosity towards them and terms not be used towards? I know when i learned what happened in the past as child growing up i was angry at white people also and that is where the works cr@cker, h0nky, etc, come into play. They had our ancestors as slaves, not the other way around so stop using that the blacks say something because its totally different and comes from a different place for a reason. Don't allow the Kumbaya Syndrome blind you, racism will forever be until Jesus comes back.

Nope he just loves University of Florida guys. Had this been a player from Georgia, Bama, or Florida State, he wouldn't have this stance.

My two cents. I don't like the word. It has an ugly and historical connotation when used by whites. When used by blacks it can have two meanings which is endearment as well as malice. It amazes me that some try to purport that we don't use the word with malicious intent and to malign. I'd like to see the word go away but that's not going to happen. Having said all that though, It's not AA fault that this guy used the word. Just because one feels like he should be able to use the word with impunity doesn't mean others feel the same way or so forgiving.......

First off, you know nothing about me so shut that mess up now. Secondly I never excused what he did, I am just saying that I expect the same outrage when a black player is recorded calling someone a honky or a cracker. It is only fair. You can't chop off the heads of white people and call them racist because that, but in the same breath think nothing of when a black person does the same thing. If you think that is being Uncle Ruckus or whatever, that is your problem not mine.

Honky and cracker are derogatory terms used for white people. N-gger is a derogatory term used for black people. Both are wrong and should never be used, but for some reason only one of those causes a national uproar, and I am saying that isn't right. None of those should be used, but what I am seeing on here is that it is alright to use Honky and cracker because what happened in the past and happens in segments of America today.

Look at what some of you are doing now, you are resorting to calling me names because my view is different. Everyone does not have to share the same view just because they are the same race or went to the same school. We all have had different life experiences that may affect our viewpoints. Let's not resort to name calling because I clearly have not done that to none of you on this topic, nor have I made any insulting remarks toward you. I expect the same thing back from what are supposed to be grown folks.

They claimed that they fined him and put him in sensitivity training. lol

I am sure he is going to get nailed a few times at practice.

Lol...whatever that "training" means..

I heard he got cut...or got excused from practice...I doubt the hitting part in practice..if they haven't did nothing too dude yet..nothing will be done...

When white folks can tie the use of the words "honkey", "cracker", "ofay" or any other term used towards them to 400+ years of oppression, murders, rapes, indentured servitude, and any other form of racial torture they could think of, then Blacks might be more sensitive about the use of those words. You can go somewhere else with trying to put those terms on the same level. They'll never be on the same level as "******". Ever.

"Cracker" doesn't take you back to a time when your people couldn't drink from the same water fountain or sit at the same lunch counter...or a time when police dogs and high pressure water hoses were unleashed on people who look like you in the streets.

It has almost no real effect unless a white is fronting trying to play the reverse game. The most it can do is make some of them feel guilty

True

I learned a long time ago that white people favorite thing to do when it comes to race in the post civil rights era...

Is to play dumb and act like they don't get it.

Now what about south Louisiana whites and the term "c**n arse"... I know some damn sure don't like the term, but others take it as a badge of honor

Its up to the team now - its clear based on local coverage, his team mates ARE NOT HAPPY.

Eagles excuse Cooper from team

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The Philadelphia Eagles excused Riley Cooper from all team activities on Friday after the wide receiver was caught on video making a racial slur.

Cooper said the last few days have been incredibly difficult and he will step away to seek counseling.

''My actions were inexcusable,'' he said. ''The more I think about what I did, the more disgusted I get. I keep trying to figure out how I could have said something so repulsive, and what I can do to make things better.''

Cooper apologized profusely Wednesday after a video of him using the N-word at a Kenny Chesney concert last month surfaced on the Internet. The Eagles immediately fined him.

I wonder if Mike Miller from the Heat said some stuff like that, would he still be on the Heat squad...(juss a random thought Lol)

Whites do it to, Honey Boo Boo (Hillbillies), You Might Be A Redneck, etc.

Well...I'll wait for the day when I see a black person driving a pickup with a sticker on it saying "Ni**** and proud of it." From a common sense point of view, the n-word has been used for 400 years and is used to denigrate an entire group of people. Hillbillies and rednecks are a subculture within a group of people...like when we say that a person is ghetto.

I would say they did that for his own safety.
