Dude, we lost 2 games on extra point miscues at the end of the game or OT. LOL. We lost a 3rd game on a fake punt. So yeah I am confident. UAPB blew our arse out and PV pulled away from us after going back and forth for awhile. You saw the Valley fiasco yourself. They tried to give us that game and we couldn't take it. Same as JSU tried to give Valley that game and they wouldn't take it. The SWAC ain't rocket science on how to win. LOL. Hell, if you make minimal mistakes you win in this conference. Pete did it for years when he first got to SU. We were not always the most talented the teams that suited up. But we were disciplined and didn't beat ourselves. That's all you have to do in this conference. Because most of these coaches will find a way to let you back in a game. LOL.

Yall seem to get talent and coaching confused.......talent was never the problem....even with stump.....coaching was the problem....Bad play calling lost it for us not talent

Uhh dude...cox covers who he FEELS is the best WR. He had no problem guarding eckwood from pb and told ya boy to show up! You might see him this year vs doss but I doubt it. Also, cox had 5 picks last year which was a low in his eyes because he was aiming for 10. I know who covered doss in the SU game and he was not a corner...I don't know what else to tell you. Jose Patterson vs Doss. Virgil Williams vs Dan Williams. That is what I predict. You can line up whoever you want for our best corner, he is gonna eat regardless. *shrug*

uum, JR.. but you lost right? Ain't that what ya'll tellling JSU. This was at the middle and the end of the season and you were LOSING. JSU lost the SWAC Championship in OT as well but we STILL loss so what does it matter? At least we played with the best team in the conference. You were losing to 3-4 win teams yet you want to try to explain how you BARELY lost to them? :lol: You only beat teams that went like 1-11 and 2-9... JR.. come on man! LOL I already know Alcorn gonna beat the schitt outta ya'll for homecoming.
 
I don't understand how we can go from talking about a jsu WR to arguing about nonsense lol. I think tobias and Montgomery will be hell, it will force teams to kick to one or the other and both can have a homerun. I always thought tobias might have been half as*ing in games, that video shows that he was not focused. I don't think him and rico play alike at all but he does give us different looks that rico could not.

that was stumps assistants last year....no big changes were made in the middle of the season......we have a mostly new coaching staff

He ain't bringing the same staff he inherited last year back either. LOL. You seem to forget he got elevated to the role after we got rid of Stump so he inherited that staff which he had only been a part of a year himself. So he wasn't exactly familiar with them like talking about. He has his own staff now that he feels like can help him and for the first time in a long while, the staff is maxed out with coaches and grad coaches. Haven't seen that in forever. LOL.

Doss came along as the season went GR. He got better once he had to step up for Charles Hawkins who was hurt at the time and now is in the Arizona Cardinals camp. Berry should have been our best WR, but he had some mental lapses sometimes. But he had all the tools. I like Doss and he can catch pretty much anything. Not a blazer. But sure handed and has decent size. We will see how it all falls out this year. I don't about folks stopping him. The SWAC coaches seem to think he is good and so do the FCS folks.

LOL. Don't know how somebody had not heard of him. Seems like he has been at JSU forever though. Folks are definitely watching. Maybe my Steelers can get him next year in the draft.

What did he do last year against SU??...I'll wait...

I put the stats of our WR core and what they did last year in that game...

A poster stated he said Doss wasn't a factor and yet the dude had 4/66 on that azz last year lol...so how is it he wasn't a factor and not to mentioned he wasn't even the leading WR...

So I stated that I never heard of that dude Cox, becuz he didn't do anything notable in that game last year..he may have did his thang in other games but in "that" game from last year against SU, our WRs did their thang...

:lol: He has a really good shot to get drafted........he has played 4 years...I can say Comegy has gotten better about playing True Freshman he played alot last year.

Bama State will have one of the top receiving corps in the conference. I don't know about Grambling and TXSU, but it looks like most of the conference teams are stacked with talented receivers.

Qua Cox without doubt is the best DB in the conference. It's in his blood. His brother played at Stillman and the CFL.
