Introducing Tobias Singleton Next Up JSU WR

Dude, SU had ONE sustained drive in Jackson.. ONE.... LOL

They got their points off of kickoff return, easy score after a blocked punt, and missed tackle for a long run. We ain't about to base NOTHING in Jackson off a performance of a sorry SU team.

Cox is the Preseason defensive player of the year so if you don't know about Cox, you don't belong in SWAC discussions because you obviously don't know SWAC players.

Yall lost lil brother.... I wish SU wouldn't have had NO sustained drive so it can look even more pityful on yall part smh...

Dude you do know Doss and Berry had good games and last time I checked..they are both WRs lol...sooooooo again..Cox didn't make himself known in that game last year lol....

good try

TP, honestly, how do know there is not talent on folks teams when you are way up in Philly and not privy to what is going on with any team. I mean can you tell folks who is showing up in camp at these schools? Do you not think any kids will have break out years and improvement from their Freshman or Soph years at these schools? You can't say no one has enough talent to win in the SWAC.

JR, I am not going by what people have picked up since last year. Ya'll might have an NFL caliber squad in Baton Rouge but based on what you had last year, you don't have much talent. ..and least not compared to what we have in Jackson. We can only go by what we have SEEN. Yes, players can have break out seasons but we have to see that. Rico was not always a top receiver at JSU. That is why I said you all should benefit from experience but one thing you must realize, while experience is GREAT and needed, if you don't have the talent, experience can only do so much.

TP, stop with that nonsense. Do you know how foolish that sounds? Green Bay won a Super Bowl damn near the same way with Special Teams play. Baltimore had two big special teams plays in the SuperBowl last year that were back breakers. It is a part of football. Most games ain't decided with one team driving up and down the field on the other team. I get sick of you saying that year after year. Special teams is part of the game. If you are weak in that aspect, you will lose a lot of games. If you are a turnover prone team like your Eagles were last year then you get beat. Teams don't need LONG sustained drives against you. As a matter of fact, you rarely see games with teams doing that. If you do, it is going to be a blow out. None of our teams are running teams so the chances we have long drives are moot. Especially now in the passing era. This ain't 3 yards a cloud of dust. And if your kicker can't pin the other team deep, they will never have to drive far.

Dude shatted own his own team wit that last post Lol...

smh...

Yall lost lil brother....

And that's cool but after what all JSU had to endure last year, I feel good about the progress we made. Can you say the same? NOPE.

Do you remember the team we had in 1999? Of course not.. LOL But that team was the same team that started out 0-3 in 1998 with humiliating losses but they turned the season around and went 7-4. They followed that up with a 9-3 1999 campaign.

*yawns*

Lil brother..what any of what you stated has to do with the L yall took last year...or even being owned by us in the overall series LOL....

I'll wait....

But you don't know that. You did not evaluate every football player on the roster. There may have been players who were very young that will break out this year. The other players may have had talent but will get better with the experience. But to simply say SU had no talent last year is BULLISHT. You didn't watch every game and you didn't watch every play. Hell we never came close to winning the SWAC during my time at SU, but it wasn't because of talent. Those same teams were putting out NFL caliber talent but couldn't win in the conference. Whether it was coaching or dedication it didn't translate to wins. That's how I know you can't judge a team wins and losses on just not having talent. You see it at all levels. The Cowboys have had talent but can't win. Mack Brown has talent at Texas but can't win lately.

JR, that was not my point. I ain't mad at how ya'll won. You deserved the win. We didn't play well but dude was trying to say that SU's offense did something vs JSU. They didn't. I was just trying to let him see where your points came from. 21 of your points came from JSU's unpreparedness and mistakes but that's what you were supposed to take advantage of especially if you are a bad team like SU was last year.

You shat on yourself when you said you didn't know who Cox was. That means you only follow SU. .. and since you did, you know you lost 5 of your last 6 games.. LOL

Lol..lil brother again...I haven't heard of the Dude or any....I'm just saying...

5 outta the last 6...ok...who leads the overall series lil brother LOL..

I'll wait..

JR, how did you have talent and you lost 5 of your last 6 games? Also, ONE player going to the NFL does not make a good team. You may have ONE NFL caliber lineman and 4 scrubs beside him. What is your point? UAPB was putting more players in the NFL than most but the REST of the team sucked. One or two outstanding talents don't help the rest of the team.

..and the other half of your argument is obviously that your coach can't coach if he had talent and STILL lost 5 of his last 6 games.

You are 2-5 vs Comegy.. live with it and then go to the band board. You only know SU football from SUjagtilIdie and that ain't good.

The offense did enough. Also they proved themselves when JSU needed one more stop in the 4th Qtr with our offense pinned deep in SU territory, your defense couldn't get us off the field to give your offense enough time for another drive. So to say our offense did nothing. They did score no matter how far they had to go. No matter how it was set up. Hell we blew two opportunities with bad plays and a missed wide open WR to put more points on the board.

..also, i sat there and watched JSU lose to that sorry team last year. Ya'll were not good AT ALL but JSU was simply clueless on offense. I shole wish we could have played ya'll later in the season when we did have a clue but oh well... There was nothing about being down vs SU that didn't let me think we couldn't have won. Your DBs and secondary was bad and McDonald came right in and exposed em.

Dude fail to realize the game could have gotten ugly Lol...

JR, your offense did enough but that is not what determined the game. What determined the game was JSU lack of offense. Discussing your offense is MOOT. you had no offense.

His Coach told him that in the post game interview. But I guess he don't care what Comegy had to say. Anyway, back to the thread and Tobias Singleton. I wish dude well. He has had some things to overcome. I am hoping he has an All SWAC like season just a bad game against SU. LOL.

Cox said out of ALL the WR, they only caught one...the game plan was obviously for him to not cover doss. Read lol but it should be a good game, but I doubt we see those match-ups. It will be Patterson vs doss, and Williams vs Williams.

JR, you talking like SU was just making plays last year. :smh: It's all good tho..but ya'll lost to some bad teams after you beat JSU and FAMU. I don't think you would have beat either had you played again. SU was really a 2-win team. That's why I say if you get 4-5 wins, that will be improvement. Maybe you will get one or two flukes thrown in too.

We don't listen to shat Comegy says.. LOL

But to his defense, we looked like a little league team that day.

Lol...Dude why not cover Doss...Doss was/is SU #1 WR coming into that game...that dude had 10 catches the game before lol..why not cover him...but you right...if I have a different WR on me every other play I'll have a good stat like that too to say Lol...you covering 5 or 6 different WR of course "ALL" will have a high of 1 catch Lmao...dude stop it...

again Doss has never had less than 3 catches...and Berry had a big game too..why not line up in front of them the "whole" game..Doss plays on every down so did Berry Lol...smh....these new schooler kids logic....Them two had big games..but he calls out Doss for not being in the game Lol...smh...

again it's like Deion Lining up against J.J. Stokes and the rest of the 3 and 4th and 5th WRs and Rice is on the field tearing shop Lol...
