Just so everyone one knows Greg LaFleur took over SU athletics in 2004. It took us a bit to recover, but 2013 is the return to Dominance.

Uhh, let me get this straight. You're going to pay the man tens of thousands but you're not admitting guilt by paying him? Oh, ok.
Southern is getting ready for a bright future. The turn around in basketball is the first step.
You're right my brother, it will be "TOUGH ON THE BLUFF" again!

Pay Lefleur and let him go, it's call cutting your loses.

Southern falls behind in championship chase

Charles McClelland had the toughest assignment in the Southwestern Athletic Conference when the Prairie View grad was named athletic director at his alma mater in 2001.
Though just 29 and with a background in accounting, his mission was to turn around an athletic department that long had been the laughingstock of the SWAC.
McClelland figured his best bet was to look 300 miles east, to a Southern University program that treated the conference’s athletic fields like its own personal playground.
“When I became the athletic director at Prairie View, Southern was on top,†said McClelland, who has spent the past five years as AD at Texas Southern. “Not only were they winning, they had the attitude to go with it. They knew they were going to win. So I really looked in-depth at what Southern was doing in order to try to elevate Prairie View.â€

What do you think Mr. McClelland, TSU's A.D., meant when he said that "Southern was winning WITH AN ATTITUDE?"
Did he take a jab when he said "was winning"?What do you think Mr. McClelland, TSU's A.D., meant when he said that "Southern was winning WITH AN ATTITUDE?"

You know our school had a certain swagger during those times. lol
We've been saying this all along. This article is years late. Your open-enrollment and extra programs that other schools didn't have were the reasons su won the Commissioners cup for so long.
What the hell does open enrollment have to do with NCAA eligibility? Are you saying JSU only admits players who far exceed the NCAA standard? Do you know the NCAA standards are more strict than JSU's minimum standards for non-athletes?
I was quoting the reporter and he was quoting Broussard. I guess neither of them know what they're talking about.
Truth be told, you guys used to let anybody in your school and sports programs. When they began putting restrictions on the school, this slowed down Pete's program a lot. su football was never the same after you guys got rid of open enrollment.

That is not true Jayrob. Dr Spikes had already started that with Admissions Standards when she was President at SU. We just kept pushing the envelope more and more. We didn't have open enrollment during her tenure. She was the one who hired Pete. The standards just kept going up.
JR...
Time and time again, this guy proves he doesn't know what he's talking about. Truth is, they hate SU more than they love JSU, and that is beyond sad.

Who is "they"?
Hold up....
Truth be told? Whose truth?? Your truth?? nikka please! As proven time and time again, your truth is marred with lies, hate, inferiority and other bullshit your idiot AND disabled mind conjures up. :smh:
My question is, Where are you getting your information from? Cite your sources. Have you ever been enrolled as a student at Southern? Worked at Southern? Obviously not. Because quite frankly, your truth is full of shit.
Our fans still have a swagger
