It's still hard to tell. This upcoming season is going to be something serious.

Both are 1 and 1 against each other.

Good question. I think the question needs to be revisited in 3-4 years. I think it is just too early to tell. One thing for certain, those two programs are headed in the right direction under their leadership thus far.

Last season tSU had a more talented team and the head to head was 1-1. I think SU will have the talent edge this season, we will see how it plays out.

Talking to a few people close to the team who are their for workouts and everything, they seem to think last year was just the beginning. We will be better this upcoming year and I said, the exhibition games in Canada in August will only help us. I saw about 6 players Friday Night at the daquiri shop. They can't wait.

I vote for Mike Davis. Honestly, I feel we'll get that answer in a couple of years after a few more head to head battles. Looking forward to a SU/TSU championship at the Toyota Center in 2014.

Go ahead and disappoint yourself. The SWAC pre-season favorites oftentimes don't show up for the championship game.

Who the F are those teams? LOL!!
You do realize the big time programs play foreign teams all the time in Canada and in Europe during the summer, first time I have ever heard of a HBCU doing so though. More than anything else the practice time in August will invaluable.

8/14 University of Windsor
8/15 Western Ontario
8/16 Fanshawe College

Good Stuff

Anderson was the number one coach. Now that he is gone, there is really no number one coach. Lew Jackson would probably have been a strong number two but he has fallen off a lot lately and now they have APR trouble so things may get even worse. Right now, ALL SWAC coaches are pretty much in the same boat.

I hope SU and TxSo can live up to these expectations. It might be 1993 all over again. We certainly NEED that.

I agree, but for another 1993 to happen, all of our schools have to perform in the nonconference portion of the schedule.

Lew Jack was better than Anderson. He might not have the best talent this upcoming season but the team will definitely be competitive like always.
