Re: APR

Man, WTF is going on with our Men's track team. We got to do better with that. Otherwise it looks like we are getting better across the board. But that is not acceptable. :upset:

Re: APR

My stance aint changed at all. My point then (and it remains the same now) is the SCG is a postseason game. Yall were saying it is not. Has your stance changed?

It is NOT an post season game according to the NCAA. I bet the NCAA won't ban you from the SCG because it is NOT a post season event. BUT the SWAC council of Presidents BETTER ban that azz. Imma e-mail Queen Meyers and request that she make ya'll mofos PAY! ooooh, if ya'll try to change the rules now! :smh:

Re: APR

Wasn't TxSU facing a ban as well for 2 years? Bama State's football program though. Wow! I didn't expect that one but if you look at Morehead's BB roster you will see 3 players from MVSU who transferred there although the players that graduate won't be held against the former school.

The TxSU ban was not APR for football. The NCAA got them for rules violations I believe. So yeah I think they are out for football. But good for basketball next year.

You know DCG will be in here to explain.

C-Leb,
What's the deal with the 2 year probation? That was football only right?

And anybody else that is eligible for a ban after what they did to us.
No mercy. :goof:

Re: APR

and for the record, IMO, if the waiver is not granted, Bama State should be banned. I'm consistently fair.

btw, the SWAC bball tourney would be down to 6 teams. :(

We are free and clear of APR issues across the board. We are still riding out our penalty in football (basketball is eligible now).

Re: APR

I look at this as a good thing, the coaches and universities have to take APR seriously, this will force their hands. This will also kick some of the kids out of school that dont want to go to class or that cant handle the academics.

There shouldn't be a tournament in that case. Just go with the regular season champ.

LOL. Just glad SU has righted the ship Football and basketball wise. Just got to clean up track. But we all said it would be more to come back then when SU and JSU were banned.

I have no dog in this fight. But we shall see how the SWAC COP vote this time. I can't remember if someone was ineligible for football last year due to APR? TxSU was rules oriented I believe.

The best team probably will win, thus we will have the best representation at the tournament which is a positive.

Re: APR

Football is eligible to? I see a TxSU and SU championship in Htown.

Basketball wise it could be. Basketball will be interesting. Don't count out JSU to be in the mix basketball wise.

TxSU football is not. They are banned for 2 years by the NCAA due to Cole. Nothing to do with APR.

Re: APR

Actually, we DID know that AlaState football was headed down the road to APR disaster. We discussed this.

Re: APR

With a 866, ya'll will be lucky to have practices.
Remember JSU 3 years ago when everybody was "asking" for us to drop to NAIA because of this. My, My, MY how times have changed.

Damn..... will y'all let that shit go? :smh:
