Louisville Athletics is doing great this year in the two most visible sports: Football and Basketball. Just think, the ACC lost Maryland and picked up Louisville. :happydance:

Don't you get on that bandwagon.. :lol: What conference sent Ohio State packing? Tech will certainly rebound in bball. We suffered many years from the one and done players like Thad Young, Favors, etc.. We are getting players now who will stay longer. We started three freshmen this year. We are giving Gregory time to rebuild.

Bruh, Pitt is gonna bring the noise to the ACC in basketball AND FOOTBALL. I'm not sleepin on them but they are at home right now. I can see the final four in a few years being all from the ACC. :lol: With our additions of Notre Dame, Louisville, Pitt and Syracuse, we will certainly be THE premier ball league in the nation (men and women).

Hey Ohio State has been to how many Final Fours and Elite 8s since Thad Matta showed up. Did Ga Tech even make the dance this year. LOL.I don't feel bad for you mofos. Hell Ohio State's whole team left that one year after playing Florida for the National title and we have been losing players every year since then. We lost our top 2 scorers from last year and still made it back to the Elite 8.

Ga Tech is going to have a hard time still with all those teams coming in. You know Duke and UNC ain't going no where. Then you add Syracuse, Louisville and Pittsburgh. I don't envy your alma mater. You might want to move to Conference USA or somewhere.

No, we didn't make the dance this year... we didnt' even make the NIT.. :lol: Seriously, Hewitt left us without a program. We are being very patient. Now we have a new coach and a new arena. We are in ATL and in the top bball conference in the nation. We about to rack up on recruits and wins.. and Ohio State don't want none!

Yeah, the ACC will clearly be the top conference for basketball. If only y'all could send Boston College back to the Big East to trade them for UCONN. lol

Oregon had a pretty good showing after being severely under-seeded, but the Pac-12 pretty much has lost its footing in the basketball world. They have been down for a while. Same can be said for the SEC. Florida and Kentucky are pretty much are the only ones holding it down for them.

Or the SEC. You only have 2 real powerhouse teams in the SEC.

At least the SEC can claim a few titles between Florida and Kentucky in the past decade, when was the last time a Pac-12 team won the title? Was it Arizona?

UCONN would bring the ACC down academically. Remember Calhoun had them on APR probation. One of the reasons his arse had to finally retire.

Man, I been trying to give Boston College away for years.. :lol: I never understood the Boston College invite aside from academics but they did do well in football before they fired the coach that had them kicking azz all those years. UConn wants in the ACC in a bad way but I don't see that happening unless someone else leaves. It's a rumor that the Big 10 is looking to grab Virginia. If that's the case, UConn is next in line for an ACC invite. I will take UConn football over UVA football as well. If the Big 10 wants our sorry schools, let them have them. Maybe they think they can build them up! But in the meantime, ACC bball is about to be a MONSTER! While everyone else has been basing conference alignment on football, the ACC took the back door and built a bball conference that can't be touched.

But UConn is still one of member of the elite academic organizations. APR has nothing to do with the academic reputation of the university. We almost didn't take Louisville because they were not a member of that academic classification. UConn is a member. APR can be fixed and it's not like they can join the ACC next year.

Their legendary Coach Lute Olson retired on them was the first thing to happen. Then they made a bad coaching hire in O'Neill. Sean Miller looks to have them back in the mix in his second year getting them to the Sweet 16 and a three point shot away from the Elite 8.

It has always been a basketball conference. LOL. Nothing new there. The only time they did anything to help their football reputation is when they added Florida State way back when, then Miami and Va Tech later on from the Big East.

True and we stayed the course but we are not dummies either. We know football rules the world so I think we have a great mix of schools that can compete across the board. Pitt, Louisville, and Notre Dame are serious football schools! Syracuse is in a bad location but they have the potential to build a great football program there as well. Also, I checked the list of AAU universities. UConn is not a member. On rare occasion, TP was incorrect.

LOL. I didn't think they were, but I know you normally look at that stuff. But I remember when the Big Ten was talking expansion to the East, that UConn was mentioned but quickly dismissed because they didn't belong to the AAU. Syracuse and Rutgers then became Big Ten targets. That is the reason the Big Ten was interested in UVA and Maryland. Nebraska almost didn't make it because they had to get their membership renewed after falling off the list. They had some snafu or disagreement on why they got booted off the list and had to start the process to rectify that situation before the Big Ten would take them.
