Should be a good matchup. I 'll be there unless there's a conflict with the state high school basketball region going on at the Acadome. Carver, St Jude, Wenonah, Dallas Co, Greensboro, and other are all playing at the dome. Can't pass up an opportunity to see some of the best players in the country.

Melendez used mostly freshmen pitchers against Chicago State. He was able to save his ace pitcher for Mercer. They scored a lot of runs in the series and his team is playing with confidence.

Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc. are easy to beat this time of the year as they can't practice outdoors much...you see alot of teams from the South beating North teams this time of the year.

I watched 2 games of the Valley PV series this weekend and PV has a really impressive player in Dominique Harris #30. He knows what he's doing at the plate and could really do some damage in the SWAC. I also have to give some props to Doug Shanks because I saw some young talent out there for Valley, especially in the outfield. give them a couple more years to develop and they will be ok.
