Personally I am glad when the MEAC and CIAA lose. If you go to other boards all they do is down the SWAC and criticize our schools like they are world beaters. Screw them and the lies they tell.

Well, many of them are over there at each other's throat right now about this loss. I read threads of looking forward to playing Old Dominion next week in round two just overlooking Coastal Carolina and how inferior CC is, etc...

Oh well..... Better luck next year MEAC.
 



BCU's Jenkins coached under Greg Schiano, the present Tamp Bay Bucs coach, at Rutgers. He was also an assistant at ULL.

So do I, if we have an honest chance of winning the game and not do what the MEAC does, lie to themselves that they can beat better funded, better coached and better organized schools!
 
like some said...jenkins is a FBS guy for life so he "supposedly" learned from the "best"....plus, he's at a private HBCU that can bend rules in terms of admitting players so it's set up for him to be successful...if he can't win then we're in trouble

I agree to a degree, TN State will be there next season. Two of the games we lost, three points each, was due to the OL. I think this was a lesson well learned. Now, the next movement is, to get the SWAC front office, to stop living in the past and make th enecessary move to get the SWAC Chamopin in the playoffs.If not, then a program must abandon the SWAC an goin another conference. I am thinking if this happens, JSU or SU maybe GSU are the only programs with the nutz to make such a move. I am sure the OVC would welcome you with open arms.

That's only part of the problem, some of theeOVC programs are less funded than the SWAC. The problem is management of funds and removing some of theo Negros, that's been there since Noah built the Ark.

Case in point, the JMC there is no way, the attendance average between 10 - 20K, is that many. The problem was the person "attempting" to promote the game. Thank you Dr., Shields for firing his theiving azz.

Where were you, P88, when SCSU beat Georgia State(a PWC) and NSU beat Liberty(who finished 5-1 in the Big South) this year?

It's not an HBCU vs. PWC thing...really BCU turned the ball over twice in the 2nd quarter which CCU turned into 10 points. BCU also missed on two touchdown passes in the 1st quarter. It wasn't a case of bad coaching yesterday(as it typically is), it was more so a case of missed opportunities. BCU really could've beaten CCU, but just didn't get it done.

Liberty University was a whopping <b><font size="6">6-5</font></b> in a dismal Big South conference.

c**n ball to me is when you pass every single time instead of playing to your teams strength. Why throw the ball when you have the edge on the ground? Throwing the ball up in the air hoping for a catch or praying for a pass interference call. Football is not simple, if you cant put out a better product on the field consistently you shouldn't be coaching. Its time out for that type of thinking, the buddy system among coaches must cease. A real coach who knows how to run a clean program, knows football, and has a staff around to have the team clicking on all cylinders. When you go out on game day your boys are prepared, instead of what BCU did. Might as well make everyone a receiver with one QB if thats your game plan (sandlot ball)

So what you call the offense New England runs. BCU's WR were wide open. The QB played a poor game. If he had been on, they win.

You said HBCU's can't beat mediocre PWC's and I just showed you two examples...BTW, NSU finished right above Savannah State near the bottom of the MEAC, but beat the 2nd place Big South team(which, by your logic should've destroyed NSU...you know...with them being a PWC and all)...a team with more resources, money and better coaching as some put it.

I think the combination of the 9 game mandate and no playoff participation has hurt our product. Just my opinion!

It always come down to execution...execution is made possible by better preparation and attention to fundamentals. Extensive work on situation football in practice. Not saying our coaches don't do it, just making a general statement. I think we have allowed our talent pool to be reduced by our scheduling practices.
 
Will we work together in our schools from the president, athletic departments, students and alum to take it seriously to put together serious athletic programs among our HBCU?

Those were horrible play calls. He knew that QB couldn't throw the ball before they got to the stadium that day. You play to your strengths.
