That's how most blue states look. Except for the far northeast of the state (East Carroll Parish), which is approximately 70% Black, you can see that the blue parishes were in the major metropolitan areas, such New Orleans, Shreveport and Baton Rouge. What's shocking, seems like St. Landry Parish would have been blue due to its large percentage of African Americans.

I know that when they used gerrymandering as a means of eliminating Cleo Fields district, but in the defense of Cleo's district, the Democrats were able to prove that most of the Republican control districts were gerrymandered a long time ago just to alienate Louisiana's Black population. The newly drawn Black districts were wiped out when the case went before a majority conservative Supreme Court with Clarence Thomas as the new member on the court.

Notice how they include the parts of St Landry Parish with Central and Northeast Louisiana. If all of St Landry Parish was moved into the Baton Rouge area or the Shreveport area that might tip the scales for another Black district. Also, if Allen Parish was pulled into the 3rd district, the 4th district might become mostly black. Disrict 1 probably is the least populous district in Louisiana.

Interesting, St. Landry has a heavy black population and they diluted it as best as they could. If you connect St. Landry to EBR, they are aware that you will get a 2nd African American in the House of Representatives ( I remember Cleo and Bil in the House at the same time and then remember the Gerrymandering )

Or place Allen Parish in the 3rd district and you might create a majority Black district with the 4th District.

Are you really this stupid? The numbers he listed are PERCENTAGES not overall numbers. There could be 50,000 people there smh I swear I don't get why I even bother lol. There are more blacks in Fulton County alone than Warren, Terrell, Taliaferro, Stewart, Randolph, Hancock, Jefferson, Clay, Baker and Burke combined. Hello, common sense where are you. LOL @ this clown trying to argue with me about where most blacks are here when I grew up here. I'm sure you learned what percentages meant in grade school right?

Please scroll down and look at figure 6 from the CENSUS bureau's own damn numbers. As you will see, LIKE I SAID, the MAJORITY of black folks in the state are in the ATLANTA AREA. Good grief.

Baker County - 3,451
Burke County - 23,504
Calhoun County - 6,740
Clay County - 3,111

Clayton & Dekalb are BOTH in the Atlanta metro so that backs my point

Dougherty County - 94,788
Hancock County - 9,400

Do I really even need to continue? And that's total population not even just black :lol::lol::lol: Again, the majority of black folks in this state are in the Atlanta metro BY FAR. You could combine all the rest of those counties and it still wouldn't even come close. And even if that weren't the case, there's still no legit reasoning as to why GA should be expected to be anything other than red. Not sure why that was even an argument knowing the history of the south. I mean, states like NY, PA etc are northern states...that fought against the south at one point ya know. Not exactly a lateral comparison there...at all.

All but 3 of these counties are in rural farming areas. They rank among the poorest in the state. We're talking just a bit above Mississippi Delta poor. The Whites who live there are poor also but they hate the Democrats about as much as we hate the Klan. As for the city of Atlanta the population is less than 500,000. Georgia will be red for a long time.

I don't dispute most of what you are saying. I disagree with your assertion though that Georgia may not be a swing state by 2016.

You did not say "ATLANTA AREA." What you stated is the city of Atlanta. I see you conveniently left out Dekalb and Clayton County. Dekalb and Clayton County both have large African American populations and they are both predominately black and formidable in population.

I'm sure he has an explanation why his massa controls 87.5% of the state's congressional districts, but makeup only 63.9% of the state's population and Blacks make up 31.98% of the state's population in the case of Louisiana. With those numbers, Louisiana should have 2 to 3 Black Congressional Districts, not just 1 out of 8. I'm sure the same applies for Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

Maybe I shouldn't have said house handkerchief head, but he reminds me of someone that attempts to suppress any facts that has the potentials to change the makeup of the current power structure.

Here is a break down of how Counties look in Metro Atlanta by blacks

Clayton County 172,611 66%
Dekalb County 377,942 54%
Fulton County 422,572 45% (of that the city of Atlanta have a little less than 233,510 because some of the city overlap in a county or 2)
Henry County 79,797 37%
