Jackson State at Grambling: Game Updates - 2:00pm CT

We had ample talent returning - at least on the field. The entire offensive line (except the LT) are the same guys who started in 2010 and last year. 3 of them even started as sophomores when Frank Warren was a senior. Two of three starting receivers (Sr. Jeremy Hernandez and soph Musa Mahmud signed Day 1 in 2011 before B'way left) is ahead of the 2011 and 2012 guys signed by Doug. On Defense, We had the entire DLine returning last year and 1 was slated to return, All Conference DE Jomarcus Savage who is now at Concordia. Both starting corners were B'way recruits...sophomore corner Hollins signed with us on Day 1 before B'way left. Starting Free Safety Naquan Smith is a senior and two year starter that was scheduled to start as a soph under B'way but had a knee injury. Our starting strong side linebacker split time as a starter under B'way as a sophomore so basically he is a 3 year starter. Middle Linebacker Jacarde Carter was our leading returning tackle... he returned the game winning fumble for a td in last year's SCG. I'm told he left the team 3 weeks ago following an injury and some dispute.

We have talented players left over... they played better with better coaching. It is what it is!

Sow you said all that when you simply could've said that Doug's coaching ability does not equal that of Broadway's.
I'd have to agree with that, especially after witnessing that massacre yesterday.

Seems like no more slump hoe names for JSU. We'll leave that name for the team that hasn't won a conference game.

Truth be told it was a blessing that some of UAPBs starters were suspended.

Our problem is coaching. Fundamentals are not being taught especially on defense. Furthermore, Doug's decision to play DJ and bash other players has messed with the morale of the team.

I still don't understand how some say that Doug is the best coach in the SWAC. :shame:

If you want to say that...then say it for yourself. That's not what I said! I said that we were not left without talent during the transition.
 
Just because you know their names doesnt mean they are good. My point is you have no GOOD jrs and srs on that team. Again Doug is the coach and he should and will take the blame for whats happening at Grambling. But the truth is he has NO talent, especially on defense, and thats the fault of Broadway. Broadway was a terrible recruiter which is what Ive been saying for years, so this means Doug has nothing to work with.

But you really don't know football...that's why folks don't listen to you. You lost your credibility when you raved about Bell having players rolling on the ground recovering fumbles drills.

Wishful thinking... we are better than we've shown talent wise. I'm not gonna put this all on the players or all on the coaches... neither stepped up to the plate. Maybe it was just chemistry...but whatever it is, no way should we give up that many points to a team in the SWAC. We have the same # of scholarships as everyone else...Plus we are Grambling. Losing to JSU isn't something we're accustomed to...it won't happen again anytime soon!

I don't think **** had a team as bad as this GSU team. Never did GSU put in their 3rd string QB on us. At least **** could beat TxSo and Valley. GSU can only beat Lynchberg. I think Concordia would whoop Gram this year.

please...yall aint better than nothing. Yall are worse than the score indicates. Hell you didnt score 1 offensive TD and that field goal came off a Turnover. We could have easily scored 70 on yall so dont act like yal could have done better. Take yoru ass whooping and go hide and quit talking shit. Now Maybe you will quit posting articles about those sorry ass players as if thats going to make them play better.

JSU just hung a foot off in Grams ass, take it and learn from it. You should be happy Comegy has a heart cause i woulda kept launching that bitch to Rico until Duer Sharp cancelled the game. And you som bitches love to cheat. How is that ref going to stop my guy fron running in a touchdown but give us the ball. That didnt remotely make sense. You better be glad the refs were on your side calling back big plays until they figured out there was no use in trying to help yall. hell CMo was 25 yards down the field twice and the ref laid a flag down behind the play.

It is what it is....you have no talent... you have no players...you are about to turn into SU for the next 4 years. The state of Louisiana is about to be full of LOoooosers.

Man, I ain't like you...I don't make excuses nor do I run. Hell yeah, we're a bad football team. Anyone that loses to that sorry azz coach and weak hearted program over there in Jackson is a bad football team. The thing is, it won't take long to surpass yall (again). This time next year, yall will be whining and making excuses WHEN you finally come back. The sad thing for yall is that Coach Biscuit is gonna get a raise and yall will think he's a good coach merely for beating a bad Grambling football team. And as for SU... you worry about them, not me. It was your team that let them whup your blue butts at home and with an interim coach.
