The same thing happened when Madea movies first came out. Everyone jumped on Roger Ebert, called that man racist...b/c he said the Madea movie sucked. It's an "Alex Cross" movie that should be judged the same way the other "Alex Cross" movies were judged (with Morgan Freeman). :noidea:

Yep they shole will Pop. LOL. I applaud him for trying. But dude is not a lead actor. Even in the Madea movies he has other actors and actresses that help the storyline. No different than Spike Lee can't carry a movie by himself. He had to have Denzel, Sam, Wesly, Fishburne etc. TP needs to understand this and stick to directing or producing. Some can do both and some can't. Especially an action movie. Some comedians even have a hard time selling an action or drama whether they are white or black. When I saw that he was playing that role as a younger Alex Cross. I was like this is going to end his acting days except for his own movies.

Too bad Wesley Snipes is in federal prison for a few more months. LOL. He could have played that role. Fishburne or somebody.

I forgot about Fishburne and Samuel L. Jackson. Both would do a tremendous job playing Alex Cross. If they mucked around and cast TP again, it will be a mucking riot.

LOL @ Cee. I wish that cat no ill will. Make your money. But he isn't a good actor at all. Bottom line. He needs to stick to his fan base. He don't have that kind of cross over appeal to be the lead actor for a movie like Alex Cross. White women don't look at him like they do Denzel and White men probably think like the rest of us do, that he is not a man's man. Those kind of roles you got to be a hard dude or very accomplished actor like Morgan Freeman is. Putting him as the lead for Alex Cross was the equivalent of casting Mr Bean in as James Bond. LOL.

I was shocked when I first saw the trailer for the movie that TP was playing a lead role in an action-drama. I went to see it with an open mind. I hated the movie. I was not entertained not one bit. Not only was TP a bad fit for the role, the script was terrible. The only thing I liked about it was the lady that played his wife. Unfortunately she was killed early on in the movie.

I think he figured everyone read the books and knew that had to happen in the movie. Plus I think they mentioned his wife's death in the movies with Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross. Can't remember.

I figured she died from the TV commercials when they showed Madea saying, "I will follow you to the depths of hell before you...". :emlaugh:

I swear...that was probably supposed to be a serious scene for TP but all I could think of was MADEA!! :lmao:

No offense to TP. But that is exactly why he shouldn't have been cast as Alex Cross. That scene along needed a hard bruh. That's one of those lines you got to nail. Make it memorable like Samuel Jackson's line in "Time to Kill"
