I have to give props to JSU vs. SU...You Are The Most Intense Rivalry in the SWAC.

But from an outsiders opinion, I get the sense that JSU wants give SU a dose of their own medicine from the 45-7 game.

To my knowledge, the rivalry was always close. But then 45-7 happened.

Will JSU FINALLY get that Blowout Win vs. SU they have so desired?

Nope. SU will play their hearts out. So will we. That 2004 blowout :mad: :mad: was like a like Mike Tyson punching the cripple. I still think a certain 1st year SWAC Coach gave SU some help in 03 and 04.

JSU has wanted to blow out SU longer than Alcorn has last had a winning season. Will the JSU TIGERS FINALLY return 45-7 back to SU?

I just asked a simple question. I posted this question because deep down, it always seems that ever since that 45-7 game, Even in Victory, JSU fans leave the game in disgust. This was justified by the angry reaction in 2010 WHEN JSU won the game. It took you 49 points and last second heroics, but you guys left the stadium UPSET and I couldn't figure out why?

You guys have always wanted to return that 45-7 game to SU but get angry because the game is always close than you would like it.

Will JSU FINALLY get that blowout win?

True....I sure remember homecoming 1978 when Jackson State came to Baton Rouge and wrecked shop (41-14). If memory serves me correctly Jsu had Perry Harrington (Philadelphia Eagles) toting the pig skin. Those 70's days, the SWAC looked like the SEC looks now. I know a lot of people haven't heard of this or simply don't remember but at one time Jsu was being called "Tailback U." Then after Harrington, I vaguely remember a tail back call Carl Blue. Of course neither of these two was Sweetness but they were real good.

They had Perry Harrington and Jeffrey Moore who both went over a 1000 yards. Moore ended up with the 49ers and got a ring. I had a cousin on that 78 team. He was a Freshman then. But played from 78-81. Carl Blue and Sylvester "Zip Code" Stamps came along after those guys. Those are Get Ready's home boys. Blue went to Warren Central and Zip Code to GR's HS (Vicksburg)

1990 was another blowout year. Jimmy Smith and company kicked our arse bad in BR. It was payback for 89. LOL. I think Tim Barnett was on that team too. It was an all out beat down. Probably the worse one I have seen in this series. 52-14 I think.

just made it home from Jackson, and peeped the other thread on the game. Couldn't post there cause it was closed....But all I have to say is whoever does the counting in Jackson Mississippi can count. 20K????...BS!!!!....there was at least 35+ in those seats...at least....maybe even close to 40K.....I'm just going on this logic....The stadium holds what 55 or 60K and there were some empties at the very top of the endzone and some empties on our side but only on the end close to the locker room, but 20K.....BS......
