Camera app

Is there an app out there for Ipad that let you take better pics in low light? Or a good flash?

It’ really depends on if it the iPad 2 or the iPad 3. I say this because the camera in the iPad 2 is a piece of crap. Apple just stuck a camera in that model just to say they had a camera in it. It’s not as good as the camera in the iPhone 3Gs. I don’t have the specs right now but you can just look at the output and tell it’s crap. The camera in the iPad 3 is the same quality as the iPhone 4s.

I’ve heard some good things about an app called “Almost DSLR.” I have not used it yet but I hear a lot of pros talk about it.
Are you really going to take pictures with an iPad? A dork like me would do it, because that’s what dorks do. But you don’t strike me as the dorky type. You will look cooler with a phone. Check this out...the mCAM or the owle bubo by alm

The camera in the iPad 3 is 5 megapixels. The camera in the iPhone 4S is 8 megapixels with better optics, so no, they are not the same quality.

Other than that, I agree with this post. Which iPad do you have? If it's the iPad 2, bigmanofds is right, the cameras are crap. Also, which camera are you taking pictures with, the front facing camera, or the rear facing camera? The rear facing camera is a lot better. The front facing camera is crap on all iPads. Something like 0.3 megapixels. Another option is to take the picture like you normally do, and then use a program like iPhoto for iPad or several other editing apps to make the pictures look better.

Uh, I have a GREAT CAMERA!! 2 grand worth of camera and lenses... Very high end DSLR... But there are times when you don't have your camera but you do have your ipad (2)...

There's not much you can do with the camera on the iPad 2. However, I understand the business that you are in sometimes it's speed that's more important than quality. Moreover, you tend to have mobile devices with you more than a dedicated camera. Which makes it easy to see it at 5, have edited and running on the news by 6 with an iPad 2 in contrast to a high-priced camera. But the camera is so bad on the iPad 2 (I found out the camera is less than one megapixels, that's early 1990's tech). You are better off with a cell phone like an iPhone 4 which has five megapixels and the ability to run iMovie on the fly. Additionally, you are subject to have your cell phone with you more, like in a restaurant, than an iPad 2.

When I don't have my real camera I use my cell phone for a quick shot. It has a much better camera than the iPad.
