Yes two different styles. Neither percussion sections sounds alike, they don't tune their instruments the same, and their arrangements within the band music is totally different. SU does not use quads or quints, and typically their percussion section is smaller. Pops Duplessis came from SU, correct, and was director in charge of WT, but Duplessis did not create that style which was largely in place when he got there. The next thing I guess you'll give Paul Adams for credit for JSU's sound cause he was from SU, never mind Davis, Taylor, Haughton, Holden, Gregory, etc was already there before him.

And why you ninjas supposedly know so much about Boom history and willing to tell us......I couldn't tell you nor have any desire to know A&M current or past directors, lol! I can't name one of em. Never even heard the name of the director when I was in the Boom, lol! It was of no concern. And you know not only who the director is, but the percussion director going back to the mid 70's and who created our style, according to you. I think that's pretty telling.

JSU is the worst band in America. Slaw sound, bad mechanics and the worst field shows in the history of America. Sad product of a band.

The sad part is you Sippi folks show the lack of communication your state has. What is even sadder is you believe JSU has a real band. :retard: I mean seriously yall suck. Your marching style is like clowns jumping up and down. Your percussion section is the weakest in America.
