I thought of this thread from the earlier one about JSU vs. Valley 2008.

In all my years of watching football, I had never seen the alumni and fans of a team so upset after a win. :lol:.

I kid you not and promise on everything, I had never seen that much animosity toward a coaching staff after a win. Folks were talking about finding Darren Hayes and sitting him in a classroom to teach him defense :lol:.

In my view though...Stump should have elected to kick it deep in the air like normal with the 45-38 lead instead of kicking it near the ground.

I don't know if my heart can take another game like that one. You coulda bought me for a wooden nickel when SU scored their last TD.

So what's JSU's excuse? Hell even when we were beating the hell out yall on that 5 game streak that Pete orchestrated against your better teams. Alcorn gave us issues. This was pre-Bell before you even go there. LOL.
 
Robb, I'll willingly take another one of those "almost" heart attacks just to see the end result once again on the faces of SU and their band.
They haven't recovered from that embarassing loss and premature GO HOME chant to this day.

Perhaps we can have a repeat.

Man, two JSU users on this board were sitting beside me.... SICK AS A DOG! :lol: (they will remain nameless)
But when Mighty JSU stopped playing around with SU and scored that winning TD, it was like they saw JESUS! LOL
The looks on SUband and Fans faces was priceless.... I'm getting crunk just thinking about it.
Its almost JSU FOOTBALL TIME! Lets GO!
 
That was a great game.....I was sitting on the JSU side and almost got knocked down by an overjoyed JSU fan after the winning touchdown. I prefer the matchup in Jackson and plan to be there this year.
 



Just an outsider's opinion...

When you think about it from 2000 on up JSU vs. SU has always been somewhat close......except for 45-7.

I think JSU is still looking for that blowout win against SU but are angry because the game always ends up close.

anyone with an ounce of football sense would've know something wasn't right. I digress...just purchased my airline tix for the home season opener...it should be electric in Memorial!!! :happydance:

Oh you was mad...We all know you have to throw the record books out during rivalry games. Look at A & M and Bama State. No matter how many point they are scoring going into the MCC, it's always a nail bitter.

I was sitting there when you guys scored the go ahead TD. I lost all my buzz from that Grey Goose. My brother and I were both speechless. My boy standing behind me was like we gone win this mofo, we gone win this mofo,,...Then you guys pooch punted and 2 plays later pandimonium...LOL

You guys felt that one quit lying...
