Just for the record

Sucks not the right word lol.

Can't find any highlights and the must have a cable subscriber really blows.

Believe it or not, it’s the 21st Century, and the ability to broadcast international events live has been around for a few decades. Look, I get that you want primetime ad revenue, but guess what – ESPN airs the Australian Open live at dark thirty o’clock at night, then re-runs the highlights in primetime. Here’s a suggestion NBC – do the same.

Yes, it does suck, but I understand why NBC does it. This event only happens once every 4 years. I guess it all depends who your cable provider is. Verizon Fios has several NBC channel (properties) providing coverage. There is even a channel dedicated to basketball and soccer. Bravo was dedicated to tennis coverage.

One thing I like....they stopped all of those human interest stories. That use to piss me off.
I really dont care that somebodys grandmother died 10 years ago...everybodys grandmother died 10 years ago. Im glad they quit wasting time with those long ass irrelevant stories.

Man, I bet you're one of those people who drive in a stanger's funeral processions with your lights on to beat traffic.

Dude...that crap pisses me off. Unless its something extra ordinary, I dont want to hear that mess. This time they have cut waaaay back on the human interest stories, so that means Im not the only one. They did one human interest story last night. I was sitting on my couch and couldnt find the remote. I actually got up off the couch and walked over to the TV and changed the channel manually. I hadnt done tha since College Hill (Grambling Edition) was on BET.

I think the TV Olympics experience has to do with what type of Cable/Satellite package one has. Direct TV for example have a couple of channels dedicated for live events. And then if your package has MSNBC, CNBC, Telemudo, you can also get even more live events. You can also see live events over the internet.

I shouldn't have to watch the Olympics over the internet, PERIOD!

Yes, I agree. It appears to be an alternative if one does not have a package to view everything. I guess the days of being able to watch everything live and free are long gone.

Have we ever been able to watch every olympic event live on TV? Even ATL and LA had some tape delay. Heck we only had 1 or 2 channels to watch it on back then.

Yall tripping. I'm at work so I like watching the re runs at night. I take a break and lunch and watch whateve's on at that time. It's way to many sports to show all of them..

Long as I can watch the Dominican Republic and Brazilian Beach and Women's Volleyball who cares on NBC
