If he had a problem with his highschool and other college coaches, there is no reason not to believe he wont have some friction here too. Lets see how he pans out for at least 2 weeks in summer drills.

Personally I want DMac to start. He is better than every SWAC QB. He should be named the starter and anyone coming in should have to take the position from him. DMac is the QB for me.

I agree with you GR. DMac should be given all the opportunity to win that job. That kid has had nothing but a vote of non confidence from his coaches.

Again you are continue to speak without facts...Fact is most of the starters on offense and defense were recruited by Comegy not transfers....Hell Casey graduated from JUCO and came to JSU....Comegy hasnt relied on transfers since 2008 please get your facts together!

Have you seen him play? In mop up duty against TXSo he threw a fade route in the Stands at Memorial who does that....Spring Game he still looked scared in the pocket....Sorry to inform u guys but this race is between Moore and Ivy....Also Terry Bowden wasnt the coach that started him last season...Terry Bowden got hired in Dec 2011....

I really hope it hasn't come to this but do understand the mind set. I hope this young kid that was waiting his turn and putting in the work doesn't get usurped by someone that is perceived as a Moses because of where he went to school as opposed to his capabilities. Perhaps the problem is Jsu doesn't have the right personnel on the staff to develop quarterbacks once they or recruited. They need to correct that problem because it is not a good look.

TP, I can't speak for someone else but know that TB is a very good judge of talent. If that kid was any good or didn't have baggage TB would have put in the work to retain him. Something is not right there and I believe he is damaged goods. Now I really don't care whether he starts, plays or not because you all are the opposition in conference play. I am merely making an observation.

That's because the FCS team the kid left from is a better than Akron. Hell, I would have picked Jackson to upset the Zips the past two seasons. Akron has been horrible in the FBS ranks. Terry Bowden is there now so a change will be in place very soon.

Then why would Jsu pick a QB that was the leader of such a low performing team that probably picked up his passing yardage during garbage time and anoint him as a potential king?

The irony of Louisianians to make such a statement. Didn't SU anoint their white QB with a billboard, and Grambling should be the last ones talking a white mindset...especially with the way they've played stepnfetchit...hell, didn't they have a "White Tiger", too?

He hasn't been named starter, yet. Most of us just remember how talented this kid was, and have seen his film. Again, all of that doesn't matter until he hits the field. One thing we do know...if Trey Rutland, with a putrid run game, can win 7 games in this conference...this guy surely can do better.

I'm not saying that he is not but what does that have to do with anything. We all thought that Brandon Bridge was a good athlete but he was not the pocket passer that Spears wanted. Just because a kid does not fit your system does not mean he is not a good athlete. If he is all you have, then you make a system to fit him but if you have other options, you don't change your entire system to fit that one person.

Becasue we are not judging him on his one season. This dude has been a beast since High School and he ruled the JUCO ranks. His JUCO team would have beat Southern.

TP...One thing for certain, we'll see very shortly what he is made of. That transfer QB mess is going to bite Rick sooner or later.

Dmac has had 4 years to win that job. He can't get it done, simple as that.

No, having poor play at the QB position is a recipe for disaster. Every team at the FCS level utilizes transfers. A coach on this level isn't doing his job if he isn't utilizing every recruiting tool at his disposal.

You QB position should not be a chronicle transfer position. The best way is to recruit quality QB(s) and give them the proper coaching. There is a glaring weakness that the aforementioned is not happening at Jsu. Rick is filling this position too often with transfers and it indicates a deficiency. He has just been fortunate thus far to not pay a big price. However, it may change very soon.

If anything that show how clueless you are. SU has had 3 ALL American QB's since then. Quincy Richard, Bryant Lee, and Thomas Ricks.
