This is also what's been said locally here in Dallas. Dez and his brother got into it. Mom jumped in trying to stop Dez from whupping his brother, then Dez and momma got into it, with Dez questioning why she was defending/protecting the brother...... Now, there's been speculation over what the initial argument (with the brother was about).

But yes, Dez is a hothead..

Like I said in my first post, I can see something like that being characterized by some pissed off person as he hit me in the face with a cap. The cap touching her face could have been incidental to him trying to get around her to his brother.

This is what a lot of folks are CASUALLY missing with the headline "Dez slaps mother". He was supposedly getting at his brother and she jumped in it.

One can wonder what he might have done to the stepbrother if he had gotten to him. Perhaps assault charges? Potential jail time? The mother might have stopped him from doing some serious damage to the other party.
Dude's gone have to learn to walk away, especially seeing what he has to lose verses what the other party has to lose.

It's only a matter of time before something else happens with Bryant. That's how it usually is with hotheads and dudes with serious anger problems mixed in with immaturity.

I'd tell him not to worry about those charges, but he better learn to sit his ass down and ignore a whole lotta shit, regardless of the situation. Remind him how great players like T.O. have non-footballed themselves out of the NFL. He only has so many chances before they quit fooling with him. Really, it don't take a lawyer to tell him that.
