Cause and effect. He is a lifelong victim of her life and has still been able to harness his talents and do some positive things. What has she done to garner such respect. Get some trick to nut up in her. Please. Just like these lousy black daddies get dissed, so should crack head prostitute mammas. If he hit her, should he have done it or get a pass. Nope. But like many abused, scared children who grow up and have positive things going, many seem unable to cut the strings to those who are toxic from their upbringing. Her history is definitely reason enough to not buy it as gospel. A defense attorney will have a field day with that lady on the witness stand.

cry me a river. So, his athletic accomplishments are in spite of her and any negative thing that happens with him (the fights, suspension, suits) are because of her.

But even if you choose to think along those lines, it's still not a reason, license or excuse for a grown man to physically attack his momma. And even if all she did was just "get some trick to nut up in her" and even if she is just a "crack head prostitute", she is still his momma, regardless of what she is (or isn't). There are some lines that shouldn't be crossed. Get mad with your momma if you want, argue with your momma, walk away, but hitting your momma??? Your own momma? c'mon

I'm not talking from a legal standpoint. I'm talking about a man hitting his momma. He may get off in court, for a number of reasons, but I'm talking about the moment a man stands up and hits his momma. I can't discount it or rationalize it.

It seems that you refuse to believe that this lady could be flat out lying. That's where I'm coming from. That possibility. In domestic situations, I've come across a lot of people that flat out lie about what happened. But y'all seem to believe what she says is actually what happened. Just because she said it. Why is her story so beyond questioning???

I haven't followed this story much. (I haven't even listened to the 911 call posted on here) I'm commenting based on the thought that a man hitting his mom is excusable.
btw, Did Bryant say that his mom is lying, that none of this happened?

That's my line of thinking. She may be flat out lying. If the rumors that she and the brother were using drugs at the time is true, then I could definitely see her making something up.

He's probably messed up a lot more than we know because he's been coddled and babied because of his athletic ability.

If you can raise a hand to your mother, regardless of her background, you're liable to raise your hand to anybody.

it's only a matter of time before he does something else outrageous. If he was a second string player, he'd probably be out of the league but since he has talent, he'll be given the benefit of the doubt with a little tap on the hand.

Negative. The Rooney Family owns the Steelers and they have 6. Now obviously the old man died and the Son took over and has won 2 of the 6. But that family has owned the team forever and a day. Same could be said about the Niners but Mr. D got in trouble and his sister and brother n law took over. So I can't say they were a happy family owned team. LOL.

You know cowboy fans gotta find ways to remain credible in some form or fashion. I give the credit to Jimmy Johnson. Since he's left, Dallas hasn't come close to smelling a Super Bowl. Look for that to continue, especially if they keep those low character type players on the roster.
Teams with superstar thugs don't usually stay on top for long.
 
I read the fight was actually between Dez and his half brother. Who knows what happened if she got in-between to grown men. After listening to her 911 call I have some questions. My guess is he needs to drop his family.
