Jesse Jackson Jr.’s treatment: What are mood disorders?

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is under intensive medical treatment for a "mood disorder," his office said in a brief statement Wednesday, more than a month after the Chicago Democrat quietly went on a medical leave of absence.


The description of what’s happening to Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) fits this medical view of adult timeouts. His office said the 47-year-old lawmaker “is receiving intensive medical treatment at a residential treatment facility for a mood disorder . . . and is expected to make a full recovery.â€￾

I think he's in rehab for either alcoholism or drugs. The Tribune sent out an e-mail alert Wednesday saying it was alcoholism but recanted after pressure from JJJ's camp.

I don't think he will go to jail simply from dealings with Obama's old seat...b/c JJJ never dealt directly with anyone. If he goes it will be from something else.

But heyal...I said I didn't think Blago was going to jail b/c he technically hadn't done anything illegal (yet), but look at him now! :smh: :emlaugh:
