Great for the conference

Actually it would have been great for the conference if Barlow hadnt go on the interview splitting verbs talking about I be he be and we be. It was kinda embarrassing.

I predict that this kid wont play a down at ASU. He is a dope smoking gun toting trouble maker with the courts still involved in his life. If you have been anywhere near ASUs campus, you know trouble wont be hard to find. That place is terrible.

When the whitefolks get through talking to him, let see where he ends up.

Sounds like your'e talking about Jackson State University students and campus

Nope....Im talking about BamaState
asu-monkeys-o.gif

Being surrounded by these thugs should make that dope smoking/gun toting thug feel right at him

48 Hours series (TV show) wanted to showcase Jackson, Mississippi and Jackson State, where all the thugs and drug dealers are. The crime rate their is exteremly too high.

That's what 48 Hours do, look for troubled, high crime cities/states, high murder rates. I know and you do too their goal was to show the world how corrupt Jackson, Mississippi is, but your Mayor stop the show.

Yeah yeah

This aint the smack board bruh.

ASU just staked its reputation on a career criminal dope smoking illegal gun carrying thug who stll has a court case pending. Yall aint smart enough to let the kid clear the courts first. This is where I usually say GOOD LUCK with that, but I dont wish you good luck.

Let's see.....we haven't cared about you wishing us luck in the past, right now, nor in the future. One thing is for certain and that is that JSU will leave Montgomery with a loss this upcoming football season.

This is just more jealousy and ignorance by the usual culprit. I wouldn't put too much stock into that poor and transparent attempt at incognito smack. As far as I know the Bamas have shown up at the SCG far more than the Lynch Street Nation. :emlaugh:

Rookie, you should've checked Montgomery's crime rate before speaking about Jackson's.

Worst Medium Cities for Crime (200,000-500,000 pop.)
On the other hand, the South seems to be particularly challenged with crime:

1.Myrtle Beach, SC
Myrtle Beach has the highest total rate of crime in the nation, due to a high rate of violent crime and the nation's highest rate of property crime. In particular, the rates of assault, burglary, and larceny are particularly high.
2.Montgomery, AL
The murder rate is significantly high in Montgomery, as are the rates of robbery, burglary, and larceny.

3.Laredo, TX
While the larceny rate is high in Laredo, residents can take comfort in the relatively low rates of murder and forcible rape.
4.Waco, TX
Like Laredo, violent crime is less of a concern in Waco than property crime. In particular, burglary and larceny are a problem.
5.Wilmington, NC
Wilmington has the second-highest rate of burglary in the country. On the other hand, the rates of forcible rape and assault are low.

----

Montgomery isn't the right place for Crowell based on those stats alone.

When was the last time Southern showed up? Just asking.

OKAY. Thanks for pointing that out. Comegy wishes he had gotten Crowell. And speaking of coaches talking, at least Barlow has not embarrassed Bama State by cursing and making a fool of himself on national TV like Comegy did a couple years ago after getting out coached and blaming others for the arse kicking he received on his last visit to Cramton Bowl. Montgomery crime rate is lower and the standard of living is higher than Jackson MS.

Just in case you didn't know, Comegy's record against Barlow is 4-2.
Now where's your evidence showing that Jackson has a higher crime rate than Montgomery? That's it, you don't have any.

GR was right. Crowell will only learn how to become better at not getting caught 9 out 10 times, but when he gets caught on that tenth try, what will Barlow do? Will Barlow kick him off the team or make more excuses for him? Only time will tell.

Don't let this thread go in the wrong direction people.

I will not stoop to GR and JayRob level. But since they brought Montgomery's crime rate into the discussion, I have to respond. Here's the latest data on U.S. cities:

Cities of 100,000 to 499,000 population (238 cities)
Lowest Crime Rate Ranking Highest Crime Rate Ranking
1. Irvine, CA 1. Flint, MI
2. Amherst, NY 2. St. Louis, MO
3. Cary, NC 3. Oakland, CA
4. Thousand Oaks, CA 4. Cleveland, OH
5. Frisco, TX 5. Jackson, MS
6. Simi Valley, CA 6. Newark, NJ
7. Murrieta, CA 7. Richmond, CA
8. Gilbert, AZ 8. New Orleans, LA
9. Orange, CA 9. New Haven, CT
10. Glendale, CA 10. Little Rock, AR

We can't wait until the Comegy bring JSU to Montgomery on 13 Oct.

That's all.

Apparently ASU needs some luck from somewhere ...you have been putrid for the bulk of your existence.

You know what GR finds ironic? Ole MightyHornet has used complete sentences in 3 instances on this board. Once when he was against Casey coming to MightyJSU ...the second time was the pool incident when he was overjoyed at the thought of JSU players killing that guy. He was so against crime then. And now this is his third attempt at writing complete sentences and all of a sudden he likes criminals.

Hey MightyHornet do you work for the republican party cause you got some MittRomney type flip flopping going on man.

Carver-Columbus isn't too far away from Montgomery. Actually this is a pretty good choice for Crowell. Bama State has had a couple of pretty good running backs in the past. Brad Baxter comes to mind and had a pretty good pro career. I can't remember the big running back's name from the 2004 team. However, I was very surprised he did not make it in the pros.

Wait a minute JC

How are you trying to stoop? I have nothing to do with crime statistics or any if that...not my style. I just find it ironic how you guys are so excited about a career criminal coming to your school? I'm merely asking the same questions and pointing out the same drawbacks that you would and have. Do you guys think we don't remember all the shit y'all said in the past? You do understand how this board works right. Its very easy to go back years to pull up threads.

According to his record Crow is a career criminal and a thug. To surround him with the dilapidated conditions around ASUs campus might be a disaster for him. Lets hope he doesn't use one of his illegal guns on someone

Robert Randolph was a beast and loved contact. He was the backup running back to Keldrick Williams

Oh Great One are you reading what you are posting. And you have the nerves to called others "sell outs". Your comments on Crowell are identical to what racist whites are postings. SMH! Can't wait until 13 Oct when the Hornets will do their talking on the field. Hope you and JayRob can come and witness it.

Thats my only fear he has a very strange element back home. Its too close i wish the young man luck hopefully he can make a life style change

First of all that career criminal Crowell does not make you better than MightyJSU. If you think that gets you over you are sadly mistaken. From now on in the interest if brevity, I'm just going to call the kid CrimeWell.

Secondly sometimes the truth hurts no matter where it originates. It really hurt the image of the SWAC to see the nation cover a story about a career criminal being accepted so easily at one of our universities. Y'all look like whores bringing in the whitemans trash.

And thirdly ...in all seriousness ...if Barlow is going to be talking to national audiences please get him in a diction class. I don't know where he went to school but its obvious he didn't get an education. Its bad enough having a career criminal come to your campus, but having your mush mouth coach trying to explain it compounds the problem. We have to do better than this as a people.

Lord if it ain't the pot calling the kettle...8 months removed and you have forgotten the white savior AlReady...one felony or two it's all the damn same...smh!

You shole is right DCG ,

hey GR and jayrob,
since yall have such strong statements on this matter as if yall conveniently have amnesia about the many recent "incidents" involving Jsu athletes, here's a new one that might help with the amnesia.

The newest name to enter the JSU QB race is …
Posted on July 7, 2012 by Travis Downey

One of the hottest topics surrounding JSU football entering 2012 has been who will replace record-breaking quarterback Casey Therriault. And for good reason.....

Now, according to JSU officials, it appears you can add another name to the mix: Former Ole Miss backup Evan Ingram, who has enrolled for summer classes. ....

He doesn’t come without his share of off-field baggage.

3301 Veterans Boulevard in Metairie, La., saw Ingram and another man, Wayne Ingram, enter a fitting room area with clothing, according to sheriff’s department records. When the officer confronted Wayne Ingram, Evan Ingram fled but was apprehended by security officers, the arrest record said.

Evan Ingram, 19, was “found wearing a stolen swimsuit beneath (his) outer pants and shorts,” the arrest record said. The value of the goods Ingram was accused to have stolen was $59.50.
