No dog in this fight
I just don't understand why folks continue to support somebody as cowardly as LeBron. How many times can you watch that punk run to the corner in crucial situations and still protect him? I just don't understand

And all you can do is give us his stats. I concede that he stuffs a stat sheet but you have to admit he a FN coward.

The should call the corner of the floor LeBrons Corner. That punk gets 2 passes from the ball. If he could he would get 3 passes from the ball

You know dont know the guy personally to call him a coward or a punk. Thats kinda of personal there bro, but the Heat losing 3 straight is wayyyyy bigger than Lebron.

I'll take a different approach. If you stuff the stat sheet with great numbers and lose the game, it doesn't mean isht. WIN! and all this other nonsense will not be an issue. Find a way to get it done.

Wade and those Role players gonna have to step up in first 3 qtrs. Wade Went 1-5 and 0 pts in the 2nd qtr. Lebron uses up alot of energy on the offensive and defensive end to keep miami in the game. Banging with KG, defending Paul Pierce, running around chasing Rondo and Allen along with trying to score pts on the offensive end.

So basically you're saying Bron is out of shape? And I know damn well he ain't guarding everyone on the court all game.

Let's not compare Rondo or Durant, both great players, to LeBron. Those cats don't have the same responsibility LeBron has. They just don't. Neither Rondo or Durant are asked to score 30, get 9 to 10 rebounds, run the offense and guard multiple positions every night -- sometimes when the offense player either outweighs or is taller than them like LeBron does.

In Game 2, (The game where Wade scored 2 points in the first half). In the 4th quarter on three straight Boston possessions took Rondo one time, Pierce the second time down the floor and KG the third trip. But you want LeBron to play harder although he finished the game with 34, 10 and 7?

JR, you and those who think thing like you, are wrong. Let me say that slowly W-R-O-N-G.

You talk about Russell Westbrook having the mentality LeBron lacks. Well, Scott Brooks took him off Parker because he was getting his butt torched. If LeBron played for the Thunder, he would probably have been asked to guard Parker and then Manu or whoever else was an offense threat on the Spurs. That's the difference between LBJ and the rest of those cats.

And people are only looking at this thing through an offensive perspective not understanding that LeBron has to do so much for the Heat to win. He's had to do even more since Bosh has been out and when Wade decides game-time doesn't start until 10:30 P.M. Eastern. He barely comes out of these playoff games because Coach Spo knows the Heat can't function without him on the floor. So demanding that he needs to play harder is a silly statement to make.

And stop bringing up Pat Riley, please. Heck, his last few years in Miami was a disaster. Swept out of the playoffs by Chicago, and then was a lottery team the next year. And his players over the years hated all those long practices and worn out tactics. You know, like your boys Wade and Zo and Shaq. Him a Zo would get into it all the time to the point where members of the team though he would hurt Pat. LOL.

This foolishness has to stop. LOL

Well this foolishness is about to stop with Miami losing to Boston and Spoelstra's arse getting fired. JR is right again. Oh well.

Exactly. Plus Coach Spoelstra should know how to conceive a defense against Boston that don't have Lebron chasing everybody. I thought the Heat were a defensive team. Meaning more than Lebron can defend. Hell Scott Brooks figured out a way for Westbrook not to have to deal with Parker all damn night every game. Kendrick is making excuses.

LeBron happens to be their best defensive player. That's why he guards multiple positions.

Brooks has defenders on his roster better than Westbrook who can guard Parker. The Heat don't have anyone else better than LeBron on defense. LeBron can't play a game and get his rest on defense like other players can. He has to guard the other team's best players because the Heat need him to do that. That's why we've seen him on Pierce, Rondo and KG.

After Game 4 Doc Rivers said, "LeBron is guarding everyone but me right now." LeBron has been guarding multiple positions all season -- shoot his whole career for that matter. So that's not really an issue for him personally.

While Miami is a good defensive team (mostly due to LeBron being on the floor), they have nobody who can guard the post. We saw them struggle with that against Indiana until the Pacers inexplicably went away from feeding the inside, and we see it now against Boston. They have no answer for KG at all.

The Heat didn't lose last night because LeBron or Wade didn't bring it in the fourth quarter offensively. They combined for 22 points in the final stanza. Miami couldn't get to lose balls (which led directly to scores by Boston) and they had horrible transition defense. It was reported last night that LeBron, Wade and Haslem were overheard getting in a heated discussion about defensive breakdowns.

But, Game 6 will be a defining moment (one way or another) for LeBron and the Miami Heat.

It doesnt have nothing to do with Lebron being out of shape. The point is Wade and the role players ave to step it up. at 1 point in the game.Lebron was 4-7 with 11 pts and the rest of the team was 1-15 shooting with 7 pts. Wade only had 2 pts at halftime plus Spo was getting out coached. The point is the issue is bigger than Lebron. I knew yall seen Lebron and KG banging down low, Lebron chasing rondo and allen, guarding paul pierce.

Boston hit 2 important 3 pointers off 2 loose balls. Wade block brandon Bass dunk, that was about to be a turning point of the game but the ball bounce the celtics way

Lies. DWade had 7 in the 1st Quarter.

Somebody help me count number of red excuses....

Whats that about 6 excuses???

With all that being said, WHERE WAS LEBRON IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES WHEN THEY NEEDED HIM TO STEP UP?

Are you saying that he was so tired that he couldnt get the ball at the end of the game and become a factor? He looked pretty good on that meaningless layup with under 30 seconds left.

This is a new excuse to me.

Let me add this to the list of LeBron excuses gathered in the last 5 years:

  • his momma is messing with his team mates 2010
  • he doesnthave the team mates necessary 2007
  • he doesnthave the team mates necessary 2008
  • he doesnthave the team mates necessary 2009
  • he doesnthave the team mates necessary 2010
  • he doesnt have the right coach 2007
  • he doesnt have the right coach 2010
  • he doesnt have the right coach 2012
  • he is so tired from playing defense 2012
One day it will be his fault

1. This is not making an excuse. It's just stating fact. JR said Scott Brooks found a way to get Westbrook off Parker to help him and the team. All I said was that Coach Spo doesn't have such luxury to move LeBron off a certain player as the Heat don't have an individual defender on the roster who is better than him. The Thunder have multiple guys on their roster who can guard.

2. I never said LeBron guarding multiple positions has resulted in fatigue or affected his play on offense at all, considering he's averaging more than 30 against Boston in the series.

3. The Celtics let LeBron score on the layup near the end of the game as they were up by four at the time.

Yep, I agree. LeBron can't beat the Celtics by himself. With that said, GO CELTICS!!!!

kendrick, Lebron was guarding multiple positions but he sucked at guarding most of them. Might as well let Battier allow Pierce to drain that 3... let Haslem get used by Garnett like LeBron.

This series should hush the argument that LeBron can guard all 5 positions. No he can't. He can guard certain players.

Making an excuse and then backing up that excuse by saying its a fact does not excuse the fact that its still an excuse.

PIERCE RONDO and ALLEN played horribly last night UNTIL THEIR TEAM NEEDED THEM THE MOST. Togther they missed 32 shots and made about 25% of their shots.

But with all that....none of it matters. My point is the guy doesnt show up in crunch time when his team needs him the most. He runs to the corner and hopes the ball doesnt find him. I dont care if Wade is the closer, its stupid of leBron to take him self out of the play by going to a spot where the defender doesnt have to do a thing to stop him.

Wade can guard...Chalmers can guard...Haslem can guard. Its funny how these guys cant guard now all of a sudden when its time to make excuses for LeBron. All year the Heat have been an amazing defensive team. Now according to you only LeBron is a decent defender.

Hell Battier is a defensive specialist...but all of a sudden he cant guard. What you are saying is bull...the problem with that team is LEBRON JAMES RUNS TO THE CORNER IN CRUNCH TIME. THATS THE PROBLEM

If Chalmers can guard, how come Rondo is averaging 20 and 10 in this series? If Battier can guard, how come Paul Pierce and everyone else all season lights him up? Wade doesn't have to guard anyone of note who can take him off the bounce in this series. Haslem, nor any Miami big, can effectively guard good bigs. We've went over this. That's why late in these games LeBron has taken KG at times.

Does LeBron share blame for the Heat being down 3-2? Sure. As the league MVP he's held to a different standard than everyone else. But not to mention other factors in what has contributed to the deficit the team faces isn't fair either. You talk about Boston's stars stepping up in the second half when they're needed most as a black eye on LeBron. But what about Wade, who never gets called out for his inconsistent play, getting off to slow starts almost every game in the Boston series?

LeBron has averaged something like 17-18 points in the first half to Wade's 6 or 7. LeBron has been keeping the team in these games when Flash, just like last year in the ECF, and through the first three games of the Indiana series, struggled to find points. You talk about LeBron hiding in the corner in the fourth quarter (which is not true). But what about Wade hiding in the first half?

But like I said last night, all this talk and discussion about LeBron and the Heat is great for the league. It's been really enjoyable to say the least.

Pierce hit a contested three. Aside from blocking the shot, there's nothing LeBron could have done differently on that play.

Stop it Kendrick. These guys guarded well all season. It is up to the COACH to figure out why they can't stop Boston. The players are waiting on that. Seriously. I can understand if Miami sucked as a defensive team all year. I understand Boston aint the best matchup for them. But you have time to make adjustments and you are playing the same team every other night. I see nothing done differently by the Heat. They keep running the same defense out there on Boston. And Boston aint at full strength either. They are banged up more than the Heat. Either Coach Spo aint making the adjustments or they aint listening to him. He has ENOUGH defenders to do better than they are. Ain't like Boston is blowing them out or running by them every play. They have been lucky that Avery Bradly aint playing and that Ray Allen is not a 100% and neither is Paul Pierce. Boston is playing on sheer guts and pride plus good coaching.

Their defense is set up to sag off Rondo on the perimeter and allow him to shoot instead of penetrate, and Rondo has killed them, even when he doesn't take the shot. When they tried trapping him he would bait them in and hit Garnett for a wide open shot.

The main problem is that Spoelstra is out of his league. LeBron's talent can't be denied, but he's not superman. He needs his role players to step up and needs a coach that knows what he's doing. Jordan had Phil Jackson, Kobe had Phil Jackson, LeBron has had Mike Brown and Spoelstra.
