Black pastors bash NAACP for endorsing gay marriage

...Anyway, seems that black folks are listening to the backwards myth makers in the pulpit rather than listening to the logic, compassion and common sense of Obama.
I pray this continues ... not just for Black folks but for all believers. I also pray for President Obama to make right and righteous decisions.

This is a prime example of the quote "many are called but few are chosen".

You have far to many ministers or whatever some called themselves now, practicing the old testament when it suits their propaganda.

Jesus said that he came to forgive us of our sins and that we weren't bound my the old law anymore because it was through his grace that we were saved.

These same ones that having a hissy fit over the Presidenta opinion..not a law, but his opinion are the same ones that sit their hypocritical asses in church every Sunday patting their feet, clapping their hands and making a joyful noise for God along with their gay minister of music and in many cases their pastors etc. too.

Many ministers and churches are receiving 501c3 federal dollars so many know to keep their mouths shut about political issues or their precious funds will be cut off.

Yeah, grace saves us. However, we still have to live soberly, righteously and godly in order to receive God's grace.

You mean like loving Thy neighbor like you love yourself or selectively choosing who that applies too.

1. Yep. In addition to keeping all of God commandments.

2. Who is engaging in selective cherry-picking? I mean, aren't we all supposed to follow all of God's word?

What's the point of the question when you've already answered it?

Now question:

Is there a commandment to treat people who are different than us different or deny them rights?

Well, we are instructed by God not to be associate with unbelievers. And a homosexual, liar, cheat, thief and fornicator is an unbeliever as hanging around those individuals can result in an negative influence on us. -- Proverbs 6:27. Does that mean we can't love them or even pray for them? Nope. We should pray for every sinner to repent and turn to God. But, we as Christians, should not support gay marriage, civil unions, abortion, or any other sin attempted to be passed off as a civil right.

So you do realize that YOU sin just as the rest of us right???? ALL have and WILL sin.... its just how the FLESH works....

How do you KNOW I sin?

Yes, we all have sinned. However, we can't KEEP sinning willfully that grace may abound. If we do "after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries." -- Heb 10:26. If we still are sinning, then as scripture says, we are a slave to sin. And being a slave to sin results in God hiding his face from us -- Isaiah 59:2.

Hopefully if we sin, it is by mistake and not willfully. Because if we sin willfully, we only abuse the gift of grace God has given us. We MUST kill our flesh. I understand it is a worthy adversary, but we are expected by God to be disciplined.

Are you saying because they sin they are unbelievers?

Committing a sin (out of ignorance) doesn't make you an unbeliever. Continuing in willful sin, after understanding the truth, does. If you accept Christ as your savior, and continue to waver back and forth from sin to righteousness, how can one be a true believer? You are lukewarm. God is not too keen on those types of people.

Like I said earlier, nobody is perfect, and we will at times sin unintentionally. We repent, move on and don't let it happen again. But we can't be homosexuals, liars, cheats and say we believe in God. It's like you pointed out earlier in regards to folks who condemn homosexuality, but are dirty themselves. They are not true believers. How we live our lives daily determines our belief in God.

Where does Jesus say that?

Nevermind because at the end of the day this has nothing to do with the church, but the law as it relates to a democratic society.

If you're referring to the god of the bible, then I say "no", with much emphasis. People don't stone their children for being disrespectful as the bible commanded.
People don't slaughter innocent animals and offer their blood to their god to appease his anger.

There are hundreds of acts and examples in the bible that are meant to be followed but people don't follow them in our society today or they'd be haulded off to jail and rightly so.
So "yes", Christians do cherry-pick which parts of the bible they want to observe and which parts they don't want to observe.

For example, if women followed the strict letter of the bible, they'd still be considered as "property" to men; they couldn't speak in the church; they couldn't own land, they couldn't be a high priest, for the most part, they couldn't be ruler over men, etc., etc.

Women need to thank their lucky stars that not every word of the bible is followed....seriously.
One need only look at how women are treated in the Muslim religion to get an inkling of how they'd be looked upon.

Jay, it can be argued that women are treated worse by those who don't practice Islam.

Nor Adultry, cheating, stealing, killing, LUSTING, backbiting, etc....... Furthermore, I didnt say anything about that topic.. Im strictly speaking on RELIGIOUS practices that hinder many people Christians and/or SINNERS in their walk with GOD...

Yes, all of those things are wrong, and thank God for grace, mercy, and forgiveness when we "ACKNOWLEDGE" that if we did any of those things, then we know to ask the Father for forgiveness through Christ. The problem with people of the world is that they will "NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE" that homosexuality is a sin, therefore they will never receive forgiveness from God until they "ACKNOWLEDGE" that what they're doing/supporting is wrong. Those who can't admit that homosexuality is a sin is calling God a lie. The good thing about all of this mess on earth is that the good book says, that the King is returning with a cup of wrath to destroy all evil people/elements that are offensive to Christians.

Judging. Doesn't the bible say do not judge for you will be judged be a higher being? Just saying!!!

That is correct, however, the bible never stated that we shouldn't discern when people are right and wrong. An uninformed Christian would think that the following verses encourages people to judge, but that's not what the scripture is telling people to do. The scripture is telling people to "DISCERN" when folks are right and when folks are wrong based on what they say or do. It does not tell Christians to condemn any human being to eternal hell. For a Christian, this is not optional based on the direct order/command that was given in verse 17. This is about discerning right from wrong. Therefore, when any man can boldly go before the public and be in support of homosexuality or any sin, then as a Christian I have to recognize this error and boldly without shame speak against this evil. Think about that for a second, how did Satan tempt Adam and Eve? He took a law that God ordered Adam and Eve to obey and follow, and convinced them both that God is a lie and the law is void. Well, we all know who was right and who was wrong based on the conversation that God had with Adam and Eve. What's sad about that story is that God spoke and gave the law directly to Adam, however as humans, all it takes is for one person to convince us that what's actually right is wrong, and what we think is wrong is right. This is what's happening with homosexuality, abortion, narcotics, and etc. The world wants Christians to accept this as good and not evil. What God wants to know is what side of the fence are we on, and who's cowardly standing in the middle. Are we in support of God and what He has ordained as right and wrong, or are we in support of the world and what it has decided as right and wrong? In this life, there is no middle ground; only heaven and hell. Choose and discern wisely...

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

So you want folks to be killed off because they're not Christians?! Hahahahahaha!!! You sound no better than Muslim terrorists.

See folks, THIS is what religion has done to this world, divided it and it will continue to be divided as long as it's allowed to thrive.

Yes, I want whatever God wants for evil people who refuse to acknowledge everything that God considers to be a sin. I hate to disappoint you, but Christian warriors are not soft and fluffy.

Pastor who gave anti-gay sermon draws hundreds of protesters in North Carolina

"I figured a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers," Worley told churchgoers on May 13. "Build a great big large fence—50 or 100 miles long—put all the lesbians in there. Fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can't get out. And you know what, in a few years, they'll die out. Do you know why? They can't reproduce!"

"It makes me pukin' sick to think about," Worley added. "Can you imagine kissing some man?"

No, many are hypocrites and are no better than the Muslim Jihadist who love to clamour for violence. Whatever happened to turning the other cheek or is that command not valid these days?

This really shows the kind of love described in the bible for one's fellow man or woman doesn't it? No, it sounds like something Adolf Hitler would be proud of. It sounds like something European slavetraders would've been proud of.
Perhaps it's folks like this pastor who needs to be put in an electrified fence until they all die out.

Perhaps the world would be a much better place.

By the way, how do you know for a FACT that some homosexuals and lesbians aren't born that way through no fault of their own?

The day that God will throw Satan, his evil followers and elements into the lake of fire is the day that I will gladly rejoice and turn the other cheek.

What's going to happen to the evil followers of the bilbical god? Didn't he promise to throw people like you into the lake of fire for being hateful of others?

You wishing that other folks go to hell but fail to realize that if there is one, you may bust it wide open yourself. Let that thought marinate in your brain for a moment.
