You know it doesn't matter, TSU can have Spears back. He was hand picked for the job then pissed on all over the 1s that wanted him. He is out. Hopson is in. It's time for a new chapter in ASU history. Those calling us a sellout are the same racist as those walking around ole miss, msu & usm. If it matters that much then turn down the money games at msu & usm. Why go get your a$$ beat by the same people you don't want to hire. Oh! My bad! I guess they are just prostituting themselves.
 
BTW, we should already have a committee IN PLACE so that JUST IN CASE he or other coaches in other sports may want to go away, we begin searching IMMEDIATELY to have a replacement in a prompt amount of time.

Just a Suggestion. But I Don't Know Nothing About Athletics.
 



say man was it his dream for yal to have a white qb at a black school? tell me what the difference is. tell me was it his dream for majority of our kind to attend white universities and their own? tell me the difference in that. just like the black athletes get the job done for those white coaches to get millions, a white coach can get it done at a black school. when jsu was saying we got the "WHITE TIGER" tell me who was the sell out then. yal had that kid from callaway as well as the other qb, but who yal gave the job too? check yourself first before passing judgement!!!!

Today he admitted to withdrawing his name. But God led him back to Alcorn. Also Brown admitted to missteps in the search.
But according to you, Alcorn lied and had Hopson Lie to the media today. Is that what you're saying?
Either way, he's hired. I don't care about that.
It's just not a good look to future applicants. Ex: Amour, a finalist. Is up against a guy who publically withdraws his name. Then Alcorn stops all communication with Armour. He's unsure what's going on and/or if he's going to be hired. If he needs to just forget about it & just focus on his current job or should he give his boss some type of heads up... Etc. fastfoward: just Days later after his testimony he finds out Hopson is named head coach.
I'm a manager & I'm just looking at this from a manager/business point of view.
They could have told the man NO! WE DON'T WANT YOU!
That's the professional way.

I say Congrats :tup: I know many purple & gold alumns can breathe now & get ready for pigskin season!

Seems like a certain school worried...Wonder if the anger is because Alcorn beat you to the punch for tapping a non-African American as the head coach.

It's called Diversity.....So it's ok to have a white coach in another position on campus but not football....GTFOH....racism at its best:smh::smh:

Good job in finally picking a coach Alcorn. Hopefully, he is very successful except for against my Tigers. Hopefully Alcorn and every SWAC school step it up in football a couple notches to where we can improve our out of conference record against other FCS schools.
 
Look at how many jsu tigers are in this thread hating. This school dreams about us constantly. This is the same school that actually had a murder white boy as their starting QB. They are so scared of us being 'competitive'. We sorry in football and this is the type of response (hate) we get...wait until we start winning again smh.

As far as the coach...Congrats but I'll reserve judgement. I want to see if he will stay longer than a year here smh...so tired of this. Stay & build and then I'll say you are worth something.

I'm not mad at Alcorn...he actually has better coaching history than 90% of the coaches in the SWAC.....some of the SWAC coaches have jumped from team to team.....worst part is when you go from being a head coach at a SWAC school to an assistant coach at another SWAC school....:emlaugh:
 
you know all these racist comments bother me from everyone. the fact is he was the better person and our president was consistent in getting him. further more i dont like the name calling about casey. ok he was white, so what, fact there is that he was the better man for the job, and guess what, jsu won. if it wasnt for the APR, jsu would have won the SWAC. so now our head coach is white, so what. some of our kids attend white schools and are playing for white coaches in high school and college, also during summer leagues. when croom got that job at msu, we all were proud and didnt say a word and he did well. he was the first for the sec. there is no difference here. watch how many white coaches apply for a head opening if one comes available. im actually happy and look forward to all he does for the school as well as for the players. this color mess needs to end!
