JACKSON, MS - The Jackson State baseball team improved to a Southwestern Athletic Conference best eight game winning streak Friday evening, by beating in-state rival Alcorn State 7-3 at Robert "Bob" Braddy Field.

With the win JSU improved to a 12-6 overall record and a 6-1 SWAC mark. Alcorn State fell to a 3-14, 2-2 record.

Yeah I dont think people realize how much better baseball as a whole the conference is playing I think where people say the MEAC plays better basketball then the SWAC. We play a lot better baseball then the MEAC. But I think its the area for the sports.
