of everything possible. I am glad that man has the ability to conceptualize and engage in deep thought. Even though many of us don't. I think many pastor's have tried to keep their congregations ignorant in order to keep them obedient but don't have a Garden of Eden to offer them. However, they have prosperity theology.

But why would you need deep conceptual thought if God would have taken care of everything for you?

Isn't life more than food or clothing? Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth more than birds? (Luke 12: 25-26)

Would you want to live as a bird?
 
It can be argued that we live as birds now. What do we have more than birds? A place to sleep. Something to eat. Somebody to mate with. Kids. :noidea:

Solomon, the wisest and most knowledgeable man that ever lived said wisdom was vanity. Vanity and vexation of the spirit.

There's another verse that says the wisdom of men is foolishness to God. So, at our smartest and brightest we still don't know anything.

It wasn't simply the "Tree of Knowledge", it was the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil". Adam was able to take care of the garden and the animals before he ate from the tree. He would have continued to gain knowledge of the earth and how it works as he lived.

Nope.

You missed the meaning of the message, bro. God was saying birds don't have the same abilities to produce food, water and shelter as humans do or even communicate like humans. They don't know everything there is to know. Yet, they don't have much trouble surviving and being productive. Why? Because God provides everything they need.

And it would have worked the same way in paradise if man had not faltered. We traded a life on Easy Street for eight-hour work days, mortgages, war, sickness and strife. Thank God we have an opportunity to get that peace on Earth 2.0. But we could have had that experience thousands of years earlier, though.

The beginning of Knowledge is fear of the Lord.

alot of the posters here are correct in telling you that man relatively knows nothing
nothing NOTHING, when this world passes away only what you knew or thought you knew and did about God will matter
if all electric current stop flowing today do you know what the world would look like in 30days? Think about it.
 
How did we get to the book of Genesis? If we wanted to talk religious views, it would have been on the religion forum. Bottom line Kendrick, you better learn how to stroke it with emotions and slow roll it, or you will be on your knees praying for another woman.

Being an electrical engineer it is difficult for me to think about that. lol There was electricity when Adam was on the Earth by himself.

Who said anything about getting on your knees? I can do it standing up, sitting down, in a candy store or in a library on top of books.
 
Can one really study and understand evil without becoming influenced. I am really intrigued by occultism but I will limit how much I research it.

Well, if Adam wasn't the first or alone, surely you must agree that SOMEBODY was the first. And, at least for a period of time, they had to be alone.

There are several explanations, and none of them have anything to do with a man and woman in a garden no one can locate. :lol:
