Even though tx SU probably would not have made a desperation shot, there should have been 0.9 sec's left on the clock. When less than 2 minutes left in the game, the clock stops after made baskets. SWAC REFS SUCK!!!!
 



This home stand weekend will go down in history at the Valley!!!!! SWAC Regular Season Champions!!! 15-0 History in the making!!! Nationally.... Great game tonight!!!! Our women back in the #1 spot!!! We are that Valley State!!!

The game was so live tonight. Great atmosphere and everything. The roar almost blew the top off the HYPER Complex when that 3 went down. Even saw Pat Forde tweeting about the game so that's a real good game.

Congrats to MVSU for winning the SWAC title outright and to this guy whose NBA might have taken a big leap tonight thanks to ESPNU.

Pat Forde is doing a story on Valley (was on campus today). Hopefully he can stay around for at least 1-2 more seasons with a loaded team coming back next year but after tonight with the nation watching, it's gonna be hard.
 
Because I have a different opinion doesn't mean I'm hating, but I don't think just beating horrible SWAC teams will make him in hot demand.

and I don't fool myself into thinking that "the nation" considers SWAC bball as must-see tv.

I am for real. You are actin like that's something far-fetched for a SWAC (gasp) school/coach to garner some national attention. Unlike SWAC football, SWAC basketball is not so isolated. People are paying attention to what Sean Woods is doing with limited resources at Valley. Plus as SUJag stated, being known inside of basketball circles like he is, it's going to be only a matter of time (even if the selfish side of me would love for him to win a couple more SWAC titles and pad the resume)

As College Insider stated, it does not matter what conference you are in: going undefeated (thus far) in a Division I conference is an accomplishment.

Correction...clock stops on made baskets under 1 minute....take a second to learn the rule book before you criticize...

And you need a to take a minute to look at the big picture before you come on here trying to correct a small misunderstanding!!!! So many numbnutts want to show off their knowledge!!!!

If it was 2 minutes, 1 minute, or 30 seconds, the clock should have stopped after the made basket!!! That was my point!!!! Read the whole thing and understand in it's entirety!!!!!

Take a minute before YOU CRITICIZE!!!!!

Again, TXSU may not have scored, but SWAC officials need to know and adhere to ALL the rules.

I didn't see the game, so I have no clue what specifically you are talking about. I am just tired of hearing folks blindly blame the refs, and call them out, especially when they do, indeed, get it right most of the time. Not about my knowledge at all, but the lack of amongst the majority of whiners on this board who cry about "SWAC Refs"...

And since we are at it, whose responsibility is it to stop the clock in those 1-minute situations? Do you know?
 
technically the scoreboard operator but also the refs have precision timing backs but in that instance, the scoreboard operator takes over in that standpoint and a good ref will notice when that situation occurs and add time back

I was wondering where and when you would step in with your worthless comments.. Do you remember when Woods was initially hired, you stated that this was a bad hire as Woods was only a video tech. For TCU. Well, as usual, you were wrong again. As far as next season, the team will probably be more talented than this team. We will definitely be a bigger team as we already have the backcourt In tact. But, please continue to keep up with Valley athletics as you always do. PV should fire you and send you to Valley because you keep up with Valley more
than PV. So, please sat your hating ass down and STFU.
