Game thread: Southern University at Washington

HUSKIES WIN: I'm always fascinated when teams don't come prepared to play. Maybe I'm rough, but I would want to demolish everyone or get beat trying. Washington? It started the party a little early, needing 12 FTs in the final five minutes to win 64-56 on Tuesday. No disrespect to Southern (1-6). They played with fire from the beginning and that's how they almost won.

Guess they took SU lightly. That's what Washington's coach is saying.
Bs. SU came to play and is really athletic. Way more athletic than them. The refs bailed them out. I'm starting to think baseball and women's basketball are the two sports where we can make some noise. If you have been paying attention, the MEAC has some really nice wins, and SU would also, namely Tulane and Washington, if the refs wouldn't have cheated us so bad.

Well when you play the PWC games you must make sure you handle business in all aspects of the court to get over the ref hump and i do believe women's basketball and baseball are the SWAC's strengths.

yep refs tried to help SFA last night, but they couldn't hit all their freethrows or else we would have lost too :smh:

Thank you, I can see if they were the coach of Tennessee, Stanford, UCONN, or Baylor and said that, but Washington? He needs to give SU some more credit for his team looking bad for the entire game.

lol. Might as well tell the truth, they are going to get exposed when they play Stanford and Cal anyway.

PV men giving Oregon a game..... 68-64 Oregon with 3 minutes left in the game

Just couldn't hit the shots down the stretch and had to foul them to stop the clock and Oregon hit the free throws.

PVAMU 66
Oregon 74
Final

Guess Southern is much improved from the "preseason" aka closed door scrimmages, based on your postings...
