Now that football season is over, the focus shifts to recruting

, in your mind what are your school's biggest needs this year in recruiting?

Valley

1. Paramount over everything is offensive line. We were among the worst in the SWAC in allowing sacks last year.
2. Skill position players (Paul Cox graduates this year, and quarterback Garrick Jones, rb's Trey Bateaste, and Brandon Stansell are all seniors this coming year)
3. Kicker/Punter (Carlos Sanchez graduates this year)
4. Pass Rushing DL, the leader for our defense this year only had 3.5 sacks. We have to get more pressure on the quarterback
5. Overall depth all around, we need depth in just about every position

P.S. I think everybody can see that Valley is getting better, now if we could just get the offense on track and improve more on defense we could make some noise next year.

JSU Needs: A little bit more dept at: qb, oline, wide receiver, and our secondary...we also need a special teams coach BAAADDD....

You think Valley is getting better? The kids may be more familiar with the system but the post you just put up suggests that we can only expect more of the same from Valley.

When is Valley going to stop acting like they are under NCAA sanctions and give out more than 40 scholarships? :smh:

Well we would have to get rid of Carl Roberts to get that and you know folks in jackson like him for some odd reason. We need Fred Kaiss to handle that. What is he doing these days. He is the worst OC in creation but he can def coach special teams.

Well,i forgot Dug was back.. :lol: Doug's name recruits for him but Comegy is just a straight up good recruiter. Now we will have to see who will win the recruiting battle in Georgia and Alabama. Comegy or Dug!?!

Let's see......................
-last year Valley ranked 10th(last) in conference in total defense, this year 6th
-last year Valley ranked 10th(last) in conference in rushing defense, this year 6th
-last year Valley ranked 10th(last) in conference in passing defense, this year 7th
-last year Valley ranked 9th (next to last) in conference in rushing offense, this year 6th

now i'm not the smartest person in the world, and I realize somebody from Valley probably stole your ole lady, but that looks like progress to me genius.

Anyway folks, back to your recruiting needs.

The Grambling name recruits for us... Doug's name helps, but kids want to hear more than just a name. During Doug's absence the top recruiter has been Andre Robinson... he's pulled in some good ones and they guys he actually saw play and not props on fax list.

Even tho you were statistically last in almost every major category last year and your total defense was HORRID, you were STILL

Dead last in scoring offense, passing offense, red zone defense and you were 9th in scoring defense and 8th in passing Defense. So I find it funny how you chose to pick and choose what stats to post. :lol:

Good but your luck has run out. No way you keep getting lucky like that. Also, thanks to ASU (at least ya'll good for something), we know to just run the ball when you put everybody 20 yards off. Sometimes coordinators are just dumb. We had the best team in 2006 but Comegy and Hayes didn't know how to run a D1 defense. They know now. Wilson had to learn how not to run a play station offense. It's on now. ASU and GSU have been a thorn in JSUs side since 2000. (but ya'll cheated most of the time.)

Comegy can't lose to smalltime teams and keep his job. I do believe that beating ASU the next two years is a must for him but that should not be hard to do. He has a history of winning at Crampton Bowl.
