What are your thoughts? I am for the Saints. I stated at the beginning of the season that there will be a NFC Championship Rematch.

I'll say the Saints because I think the Saints can win a shootout with Green Bay. I'm not sure San Francisco can produce enough offense to keep up with Green Bay.

The Saints are the only team in the NFC that can match the Packers touchdown for touchdown. With that said, I think the Saints would be at a significant disadvantage playing in Green Bay in inclement weather, though in late January at Lambeau Field.

The Packers have historically handled those conditions well. You can't say that for the Saints, especially in the postseason when they have had to go outside in colder temperatures.

49ers because of the stronger defense, and I can't see the Saints scoring a lot in below-freezing temperatures and in a snowstorm.

I'm a 49ers fan but I'm going with the Saints. I'm saying that because the 49ers have red zone issues. They get in the red zone and end up having to kick field goals. We still have some work to do. The Saints are probably the only team in the NFC that could hang with Green Bay if they started trading scores and keep it up.

^^^^ What he said. Personally, I think GB wipes the Saints all over Lambeau though. Saints don't impress me this year. No one is playing on GB level.

Neither  If the Giants and/or Cowboys go up there, both of them could beat them IMO... the Giants showed that recently with Eli's play.

however for the sake of the thread, I say the 49ers because of their D...

Saints... because we have the running backs to shift to a run game in inclement weather. Plus Drew Brees is clutch in the "Go" Zone!

I know this sounds crazy…but the Lions might beat the Packers in the playoffs…yeah I said it.

I know Green Bay is the best team in the league right now, and they will beat the Lions with no problems the last game of the season, but when the playoffs start, it’s like a new season. If the 49’ers loose to the Steelers this weekend…and that’s highly possible even without Big Ben…the Saints will get the second seed if the Saints run the table. That means the Packers would have to play the winner of the 49’er/Lions wildcard game. The 49’ers beat the Lions in the regular season. However, the Lions were threatening, behind 25-19 with 1:02 left in the game, so they could have won. It’s safe to say the Lions can beat the 49’ers in a wildcard rematch. The Packers would have to face the Lions for the 3rd time. The Packers really kick the crap out of the Lions in the first meeting, but it is hard to beat a team three times in the NFL.

I want the Giants to play Green Bay because the Giants can handle the weather. Let's be real...if it is snowing then the passing game will be at a stand still and the teams would be on an even playing field.

The Cowboys can beat the Packers because the Cowboys Offense has shown they can put up the points. I know the Saints don't want none of the Cowboys in the Playoffs .

2009 - Folks said the Cowboys didn't stand a chance. Went into the Superdome and ran them Aints out and and defeated their little undefeated streak.

2010- The Saints Didn't Beat The Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The Cowboys beat the Cowboys and Saints just so happened to be the beneficieries.

So you're not just silly when it comes to Alcorn but also the Cowgirls....

The key to beating the Green Bay Packers, or any other team, is pressuring the QB. The reason the New York Giants were able to beat the Pats in the Super Bowl was because their defensive front four was able to make Tom Brady uncomfortable.

The Saints rank No. 20 in the league in sacks. The 49ers rank No. 14. The only NFC team in the top 10 in sacks is the Giants. If New York plays against the Packers, they are probably the only team from a defensive standpoint that has a shot at slowing down Rodgers and Co.

Stupid is too kind of an insult for you.

To the person who mentioned the Lions, the Lions are not even a lock to make the playoffs.

That’s a fare assessment, because after the Lions loss to the Saints I thought they were done then. However, Dallas had an easy last 5 games and they loss two of them already. Chicago is almost ready to come let you play quarterback…they’re done. So the only other teams left besides the Lions are Arizona and Seattle with below .500 records. The Lions just have to win 2 of the last 3--Oakland, San Diego, and Green Bay. I know you are a Cardinals fan and thanks for the help in beating the 49’ers for us Saints fans but I can’t see you guys beating Cincinnati or Seattle.

That is Just like the Germans fighting the Russians in that COOOOOLD WINTER in Russia and I think a lot of teams have fallen because of that, the weather, and the thing is, the Packers play SO WELL in that weather :noidea:!
