Tebow time

That crap made no sense just like how Grambling won yesterday without doing nothing on offense. This guy can suck eggs for three quarters and gets ALL the credit when his team wins? B.S. Game ball goes to Marion Barber today if you are a Broncos fan.

That's sports, man.

Sports is about more than physical ability and calling good plays. It's about heart. Refusing to quit. Refusing to give up. Believing you can win ... no ... KNOWING you will win. And doing whatever it takes to get it done.

That's what I love about sports.

It sure helps when the opposing running back forgets to stay in bounds late in fourth quarter, and then fumbles the football as he's heading in for would have been the game-winning touchdown.

God sent Marion Barber out that endzone, God took the ball from Marion. God helped that kick go through the uprights twice.

I wonder what the football "experts" will say tonight. How much credit will they give the Denver defense and kicking game? Will they talk about T.J. Yates.

Tim Tebow still suck. I don't care what nobody say. I actually saw a whole game of him embarrassing the QB position. People are going to look at his stats and say, "Oh, look, he shredded the Bears D in the fourth quarter." Nah, the Bears were playing a soft Cover-2 in the last few minutes, and giving cushions to the WRs.

The Bears were leaving the middle of field open and he was just hitting wide open receivers in the soft zone. Heck, you and me could have completed those passes. Those were garbage yards for the most part.

You make these same excuses every week. This is the NFL. You mean to tell me that NFL teams haven't figured out how to stop Tebow in eight weeks?

Ken,
Stop it man, stop it man.. Just go to your living room, do your Tebow pose and thank the man upstairs for allowing you to bear witness.

When HBCUs are in the playoffs or play PWCs, many say that it is coaching why they lose. I first look to the players, athletic budgets, administration and alumni commitment, and later the coaching. The quote above makes it looks like a classic case of coaching on why a team lost.

Trent Dilfer: "There's something bigger than that here" and "I know it's my job but I just can't explain what is going on in Denver".

Those are real quotes. Trent Dilfer is now a believer.

The dude was 3 of 16 for 45 yards zero touchdowns, a pick and fumble through the first three quarters. Willis McGahee was a non-factor. The Bears made Tebow look silly. You needed to watch the game.

In the last three minutes the Bears played a soft Cover-2 and were allowing him to complete short to medium passes to receivers in the middle of the field.

The safeties were playing 25 yards off the ball. Tebow really didn't do anything special on the touchdown drive. Stop the hyperbole.

Even with all the dumb mistakes the Bears made, Denver STILL needed to make a 59-yard field goal to tie and a 52-yard boot to win the game.

It seems like every game Denver wins the other team does something uncharacteristic to lose the game. This game against the Bears was an example of that.

Again, stop the hyperbole.

Years ago the Jets played in Chicago on Monday night. My friends said that New York gave the game away to the Bears.

Granted I only saw the highlights. However, there are classic things that a team should and should not do in the fourth quarter.

Barber should have stayed in bounds. He should not have fumbled. The defensive backs should not have let the Bronco receivers get out of bounds. The Bears choked. Tony Dungy, a Tebow backer, basically said so. Christmas came early in Denver.

I say this as a person who has been a baptist for over 30 years and hates losing. There are also lessons in losing. Hall of fame players Willie Davis and Walt Frazier said something similar to this.

More and more it looks like Denver is on its way to the playoffs, with the Raiders losing more and more players to injury, and the Chargers and Chiefs falling apart. After having to win it with offense last week, Denver won the game this week with defense.

That was the Bears-Jets game where Blair Thomas fumbled the ball with New York up by a touchdown with less than a minute left. The Bears then scored a touchdown to tie in regulation and a touchdown to win in OT.

That's how it happens sometimes. They are really going to get tested by the Patriots.

No matter how many gorgeous touchdown passes Cutler might throw, he fails to inspire teammates to win games when talent alone isn't enough.

Didn't the Bears win the NFC North and make it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last season when they were picked to finish third in the division behind Green Bay and Minnesota?

Weren't the Bears on a five-game winning streak this season before Cutler broke his thumb and replaced by a junior high quarterback?

We've found out that maybe Cutler is more valuable than Tebow. Without No. 6 out there the Bears have a hard time moving the ball past midfield.
