Smalls was the punter and threw two passes....

Obviously you did not attend, nor did you watch the game. 0-0 at the end of the 1st Qtr. Jackson scored early in 2nd qtr. Texas Southern had a 19 yard punt, Jackson scored. Texas Southern snapped the ball over the punter head, Jackson drove 11 yard for T.D., TSU next possesion punt blocked, Jackson drove 23 yards, TSU another bad snap, JSU drove 21 yards for a T.D.. TSU finally scored. TSU then had a 19 yard kick off. Similar second half.

I do not think we could have beat Jackson playing a perfect game, however our miscued played a large part in blow out.
 



Well I guess we know that means Coe, and he didnt do nothing at AlaSU once all of the players Cole's brought in left! So, I guess we will see TxSU go back to the stone age with Coe.

Coe did a good job why Bama State was cannibalizing itself and going through its penalty period. He could be what TXSU needs while going through similar situation. For the long haul...no.
 
Are you still that bitter because Dr McClelland did not take Jackson's offer? Damn dude...let it go. I talk to him and I know who offered what and when. LET IT GO!

Smalls came in for a short stint at QB. Parker's knee was hurt before the PV game but he tried to go anyway. He re-aggravated the injury in the PV game.

Yeah but even without that, you STILL would have lost pretty badly. You have to believe that one of those drives would have been a TD anyway the way we molested ya'll. I think this was a repeat of JSUs Homecoming 1990. I think we were up 35-0 at the half. I need to go back and check the tape tho.. :lol:

Adversity? :confused: Adversity is returning 2 starters on offense and 3 on defense w/ a new coaching staff. :emlaugh: Y'all had a core returning and didn't use it wisely.

Always had the athletes but never the good coaching to go w/ it. Send us 1/10th of y'alls talent and we rule the Texas FCS landscape. :|

We had 2 starters on defense return and 3 starters on offense return. Most of our players didn't play a down a year before that...We didn't have the talent not the depth we had the year before.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii... what happened? :confused: If memory serves correct, 2 of those all-americans y'all had were <b>sophomores</b> (WR was one, forgot the other). What happened? They just didn't disappear, I know.

sTu had adversity when almost half the team was not allowed to play in HF,III's first game as a SWAC/PV HC. :read: THAT was adversity.

The so called defending SWAC Champions came into the season with high expectations but their fans consider a close loss to an extremely young and rebuilding PV a near "upset". WOW....LOL.

They were supposed to steamroll PV w/ all that occurred in the land of purple/gold. :| But still... :smh:
 
It looks as though our next coach will have MS roots. Daryl Ashberry I can understand, but some guy by the name of Shannon from Biloxi is the front runner. Does anyone know anything about this Shannon guy?

If John Shannon gets the job, then TX Southern will be a beast. I hope and pray Shannon gets the job at Tx Southern because I've been wanting him at JSU since Bell was fired. You guys will probably receive an early Christmas present. I can't wait to see what kind of athletes he'll bring to the SWAC.

Thanks for breaking the ice RB. If you're privy, under what kind of circumstances did he leave Jackson State at the time?

In my opinion, Shannon left JSU because he was bitter about Hughes(special teams coach) jumping over Shannon(OC) to become the HC at JSU.
