If a certain school would've resorted to cheating again, perhaps they would've won the West again. Hahahahahahaha!!! In short, you can't win if you don't cheat.
There's 40 straight years of evidence to support that notion.

I hope yall get a good one... it was cool having TxSU as a champion contender. Yall had good players this year. It helps us when yall are good, the TxSU game can be an nice on-campus game for us. Good recruiting ground... a nice competitive series of games would be good.

TxSU needs to make a good hire...we need strong teams from top to bottom.

And the bottom is going to be TxSU as usual. TxSU went from first place (suspect) to last place in just one damn year. When Asked, I told them to leave Johnny Coles alone. You dont mess with a successful coach, but that awful AD went after Johnny because he was so jealous of his success. Now that school is going to take on the personality of that loser AD. He couldnt wait to fire JC.

Yeah JC was a little ghetto...but this is TxSU. He fit right in with the school and its surroundings. TxSU should rehire JC and fire CharlesLightskinMcClelland. Ima say it one more time....TxSU problems started when Charles McClelland hit campus. Go look at the record.

Yep...bout as much as yall did bout this time last year. The only exception is TxSU had 5 members instead of just you. No Herb, No Sleepa, No Cleb, No CornrollGirl. It must be lonely being you.

GR you are correct about one thing. Coe seems to be a good fit. That is who I am pulling for from the candidates that I know of.
 
The line between smack and SPORTS TALK is getting more blurred every day. How would you know a good coach....you think Comegy is a good coach. Hell, I could have coached that team. With throw 'em up Killer, errrrrrrrr, Therriault chunking bricks and lettin' them coloreds run and get it shows no imagination. What is he going to do now that the great white killer errrrrrrrr hope is done? A senior laden team that was all dressed up with no where to go. You see what happened against Grambling when Comegy HAD to do some coaching.......HE CHOKED!

You, GR or TGO or whoever you are today, need to be worried about that mess brewing in Jacktown. Oh yeah, it is brewing and you know it as well as the rest of us. We got the time line of events in H-town and your recollection does not jive with the facts....but then again, facts were never your strong point were they?

Keep Comegys name out of your mouth. TxSU has returned where you belong, the bottom of the SWAC. As long as CharlesMcClelland is your AD you will remain there.
 
Man I was watching SWAC football (and SWAC sports in general) before you were probably born and I am almost certain it was before you knew what a football (or basketball) was.

Since the current coach was interim, why did the search just start? Were you accepting applications?

I have no problem with "D2"....you are the one hung up on classifications. The SWAC (as a conference) put more guys in the NFL when we were NAIA than we have since going "D1". Truth be told, track and field and basketball were really the ones pushing for "D1" affiliation. Once we were "allowed" to become D1 then the NCAA in all of its wisdom started coming up with all of the criteria to EXCLUDE HBCUs from truly participating at a D1 level and having access to "Blue Chip" recruits and television revenue. Stadium seating capacity was never an issue before HBCUs were moved up to D1. That is one reason why so many PWCs fell out of D1.

Herb, since you are a history buff you know that TXSouthern are historical losers in the SWAC and one year can't change that! But you have no room to talk about Comegy JSU or anybody when u look like crap on National tv getting 58 dropped on you, you sound like Ocho Cinco talking when he hasn't made a catch since last Thanksgiving! Actually have a successful program before you start talking that's why folks don't respect TXSO....Reality is a bitch you guys are garbage look at this past preseason 212 defense hype ...as far as Grambling it was a close game and we took the L...no excuses but don't claim it as a blowout MikeBigg you have more football credibility than that no smack....but I hope Texas Southern gets a good coach and then they will have sumtin to talk about other than their fluke championship...
 
Not necessarily a history buff.....Just experience.....Being born before 1970 has its advantages.
