I know you cannot be serious about facilities, but C-leb already commented on that so I will not go there.

But as for "broke alumni" I need you to define this. Please pull up anything to back this statement up. I dare you.

Matter of fact why not pull up the latest info on endowment information or alumni giving from SWAC alums and see where TSU ranks compared to other SWAC schools. People kill me making blanket statements to try and make themselves or thier institution appear to be better than other SWAC schools. I don't know what it will take for you arrogant mofos to realize we are all in the same boat.

Just so you know no HBCU can brag about their alumni giving. I am doing research on it now. It is not pretty. JSU, GSU, SU, TSU, PV and etc. give back at the same rates. Although I will admit a lot of our foundations or development officers do poor jobs of reporting alumni gifts because they are often not funneled through the proper channels, non of our alums do a great job of giving. So if TSU alums are "broke", then so are everybody else's, including JSUs.

While endowments differ from alumni giving, they have are linked. Below is information from the 2005 ranking of endowments. It is the only list that I could find to compare JSU because you all were not listed in the most current 2010 ranking from US News Report - PV's has risen to 45 mil while TSUs is at 30 mil. Is there a reason JSU is not reporting? Just remember this the next time you try to refer to someone as "broke".

Are you saying because FAMU is not on it? That list came from a research report from the US NEWS Report HBCU Endowment ranking in 2005. I think that is the first year it was done, but dont quote me on that. So if something is wrong or missing, I did not compile it. Now Spellman is listed as #1 and have over $300 mil endowed. I was not looking for info to compare any other schools than the SWAC. I am not sure if that was what you were getting at, but that is why FAMU is not listed.

When you get that answer from either TP or GR make sure you save it because in a week or two you'll be able to throw it back in their face.

We don't care for your unconfirmed reports about who we were trying to hire. For whatever reason, McClelland was never offered the job at JSU and this go around, he had no positives to consider.

TP,

We've already heard from the NCAA; it's been over a month now. We know where our future stands with the NCAA. The "X factor" is that everyone outside of Texas Southern doesn't know.

Dang, ya'll so smalltime that nobody cares to even leak your penalties. Well, JSU is the epicenter of HBCU sports and we have a beat writer. Good thing ya'll don't have one.

BTW, do we still get to open up that shiny new stadium or are ya'll gonna try to find an opponent you can beat to open up your stadium?

She went back 7 years...that's the first thing...and endowments have nothing to do with how much alumni give, make, etc... :smh:

I still do not think that you can read or comprehend well:

1. I already stated that the data was from 2005 because there is no other information listed to show JSU's endowment levels. You all are not listed in the 2010 endowment listings/rankings because you did not report it. I have the 2010 report if you want, and actually I think it was posted on here for another reason a few days ago.

2. I already stated that endowments are not alumni giving, however they are linked in regards to financial stability of an institution. You guys called us "broke", but I beg to differ. In addition, some alumni gifts are reflected in those endowments as well. Just for the record, an alumni with any sense would establish an endowment (maybe not now because of the market) over making a one-time gift because of the longevity anyway. That is another reason why I posted those numbers. The last reason I posted them is because it is hard as hell trying to get HBCUs to release their alumni giving rates because they are embarassing. Because those are private funds they do not have to give up that data. Most of the research is very outdated, which is why I am looking at that now.

3. My point still remains that if TSU alumni are broke then so are JSUs. Neither one of our groups give at any high rate. The HBCU with the highest one year alumni giving rate ever was Claflin at 41% in 2010 or 2009. But it is important to note that you guys should have more alumni that give than us. You all have about 30 to 40 years on us in existence.

4. What is the average salary for a TSU grad or a SWAC grad in general? Our alumni aren't broke at any of our so-called poor black schools. They just don't care enough to give back. Besides bumming tickets to get into a football game or a battle of the bands, that is the extent of most of our alumni support. But since we are so "broke", how many JSU alums have made a gift of at least a million dollars to the school?

Again, I still say that none our rates are accurate because most of us do not funnel our money through the correct reporting channels.

Anyway I know we will find a good coach. I am not worried about that.

Now, let's try to get this thread back on course...

I'm more than confident our Athletic Director will have a shortlist of well qualified candidates.

Thanks because that TSUgirl just went ALL over the place on a tangent... sheesh!

Ramsey did a decent job considering what he had to work with. If McClelland is so bad, why did Jackson try to hire him on two seperate occasions.
No he did not. Yall were a train wreck...couldnt punt the ball...looked like a joke. The bad part is I told you in August that Ramsey was a joke. You didnt want to believe me though.

Tell McClelland to quit trying to act important and just hire Coe. Thats all he is going to do anyway. He just has you low expectation having folks faked out. Black folks believe anything

JR...When did you change your name to TSU07girl?

I have a DVD in my office now that says....nevermind...this is a TSU matter until the next coach hires a PV staff member :emlaugh:

But look at it like this TSU folks...you may get a CL Whittington-type hire or a Henry Frazier III hire...

good luck..

Whose worried about a school that got 58 put on 'em in front of a nationwide audience? Texas Southern will continue to be Texas Southern no matter what coach they pull out of the woodworks.

When it comes to JSU history and TSU history in football, TSU will ALWAYS be closer to the bottom. Not smack, just fact.

I'm your Huckleberry!

LOL:swink:

CharlesLightSkinMcClelland is a joke. AlWays has been. You guys will always look up to Valley as long as he is there. All the bad stuff started happening to yall as soon as he got there. APR scores dropped....he didn't know what he was doing. Turmoil on the football and basketball teams...The NCAA lives on campus...TSU is on its 3rd football coach in 3 years...crime robberys shootings and on and on. That guy ain't who you think he is. Get rid of him and you will still be Texas Southern but at least half of your problems will be solved. When the report came out that Texas Southern had the worst APR in the country on his watch ....THE WORST APR IN THE COUNTRY....he should have been fired the next day.

Libel and defamation is a crime....ask Robber.

How many ex-TSU hires does PV football & basketball have?
