Texas Southern Begins National Search for New Football Coach

They might as well just hire Ramsey. I doubt many good coaches would want to go into a situation knowing tsu's impending ncaa issues.

So then everything on that list is true except maybe the 2 yr APR ban. I do seem to recall that you all were not allowed to really recruit last year and if you did, you were very late publishing your list of recruits.

Reading is fundamental - Did I not just explain why we did not recruit big last year? Again, it was because we were preparing for the reduction in scholarships. And no everything on that list is not true TP.

C-leb,

Don't ya'll need to hear from NCAA before you go hiring a new HC?

TP,

We've already heard from the NCAA; it's been over a month now. We know where our future stands with the NCAA. The "X factor" is that everyone outside of Texas Southern doesn't know.

The salary, the city of Houston and being in Texas (HS fball mecca of sorts), the new stadium... all of that supersedes any negative any HC would have to endure. The penalties are only temporary and will go away. By that time, I'd think a GREAT coach would lay the foundation that will serve to smack some teams upside the head after the 2 year hiatus w/ restrictions. :read:

P88 may be ignant, but he's not stupid. :| I see the whole picture here. Good luck w/ it sTu. But I still want PV to beat y'alls ass to the redmeat for picking on hapless Texas College. That shit pisses me off and it's bullying and I can't stand bullies.

Ramsey did a decent job considering what he had to work with. If McClelland is so bad, why did Jackson try to hire him on two seperate occasions.

When you get that answer from either TP or GR make sure you save it because in a week or two you'll be able to throw it back in their face.

Obviously you are not a member of the Jackson State Alumni Assoc. or the Blue Bengals. If so you would know that what you say is a complete lie. You came after him hard. Dr. Rudley believe in him enough to keep him.

I know that my memory is not what it use to be, but I think TSU beat Jackson, 3 years in a row in football.

Poor clueless fella :smh:

Are you even a member of the Blue Bengal Forum?

I wonder if Pete Richardson would be interested in doing 5 years? I bet he could get a good staff for yall and recruiting wouldn't be an issue.

So, you all are saying that you all dont have bad facilities or broke alumni?

Facilities....

Our H&PE Arena is one of the nicest and most updated in the conference and seats 8,100.

Our Durley Field was the first track in Texas (before UT and aTm) with the state of the art Mondo surface and is currently being resurfaced at this moment with the next phase of adding additional seating to expand to 10,000 for the 5th largest track meet in America.

But this thread is about football so whoever's hired as our next head football coach will be playing in the most plush, contemporary and newest stadium until Alabama State opens their new stadium.

Broke alumni? We have just as many "non-broke" alumni as Jackson State.

To you JSU folks I just wanted you guys to know what Interim meant.
1. an intervening time; interval; meantime: in the interim.
2. a temporary or provisional arrangement; stopgap; makeshift.
3. (initial capital letter) Church History. any of three provisional arrangements for the settlement of religious differences between German Protestants and Roman Catholics during the Reformation.
4. for, during, belonging to, or connected with an intervening period of time; temporary; provisional: an interim order.

Last time I checked what has J-state won since you want to refer to us as losers. Look at your football team you guys had the best record in the Swac and all your sorry azz can celebrate is a moral victory championship that means nothing. We have had our issues but damn the pot can't call the skillet black, all throughout this thread most of the hate is coming from you JSU nut riders.

 Just going down the list to see what's what.

So, you all are saying that you all dont have bad facilities or broke alumni?

I know you cannot be serious about facilities, but C-leb already commented on that so I will not go there.

But as for "broke alumni" I need you to define this. Please pull up anything to back this statement up. I dare you.

Matter of fact why not pull up the latest info on endowment information or alumni giving from SWAC alums and see where TSU ranks compared to other SWAC schools. People kill me making blanket statements to try and make themselves or thier institution appear to be better than other SWAC schools. I don't know what it will take for you arrogant mofos to realize we are all in the same boat.

Just so you know no HBCU can brag about their alumni giving. I am doing research on it now. It is not pretty. JSU, GSU, SU, TSU, PV and etc. give back at the same rates. Although I will admit a lot of our foundations or development officers do poor jobs of reporting alumni gifts because they are often not funneled through the proper channels, non of our alums do a great job of giving. So if TSU alums are "broke", then so are everybody else's, including JSUs.

While endowments differ from alumni giving, they have are linked. Below is information from the 2005 ranking of endowments. It is the only list that I could find to compare JSU because you all were not listed in the most current 2010 ranking from US News Report - PV's has risen to 45 mil while TSUs is at 30 mil. Is there a reason JSU is not reporting? Just remember this the next time you try to refer to someone as "broke".

Answer this serious question - why are JSU posters (not all of yall, but most) some of the most bitter and condescending people on this board? Are yall mad cause yall are from Mississippi? Don't blame that on the rest of us
