Texas Southern Begins National Search for New Football Coach

Texas Southern announced Monday that it has opened a national search for a football coach after the team finished the season 4-7.

Athletic director Charles McClelland said he would immediately begin to identify candidates to present to a university committee and hopes to have a coach named within a month. Interim coach Kevin Ramsey will also be a candidate.

Ramsey recently completed his third season with the Tigers, having spent the first two as defensive coordinator. He was promoted April 1 to replace Johnnie Cole, who was fired in advance of an NCAA report that is expected to reveal major violations.............

Wait...yall don't want Ramsey? What the hell? Naaaaw ...didn't I tell you guys 4 months ago that this guy wasn't a good head coach? You can listen to him speak and know he just ain't that bright. There is a reason somebody that old never reach head coach status before.

And just think Texas Southern went out if their way to fire Johnny after he did all he could to bring success to a disparate down trotten rotten situation. Just goes to show what happens when you do somebody wrong.

Good luck...I hear Steve Wilson is interested.

What's up with loser schools firing coaches after One Season. I know you have heard of REALITY :lol: you are who you are one fluke year doesnt make you a SWAC Powerhouse you had to cheat to win that year....

The only things that are correct on that list of lies is the fact that we are GRADUATING those 20 seniors this year, we lost four hours of practice time per week, and lost 15 scholarships. However, our AD was prepared for those because we knew they were coming, which is why we did not have a large recruiting class last year. Although we don't owe any of yall an explanation, I agree with Herb. Some of yall are just hateful and sad for no reason.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but you DO know that he was the interim head coach, right? Do you know how those work? Did you read the article? If so, you DID see that the interim coach has not been FIRED and is undress candidate in this search, right?

Are you just that dumb or are you just that dumb? Which one is it? Ramsey came into the season as interim head coach and it was made clear that everyone knew the definition of "I-N-T-E-R-I-M". Well, except for you. Furthermore, you don't know of the arrangements made before the season started.
 



TxSU biggest problem right now is Charles McClelland. That dude has let yall down big time. TxsU has been going down every since he got to there. All he does is talk big game and you sad low self esteem having fans will fall for anything he says. The only reason he still has a job is cause he lightskinneded and Texas fans are so gullible.

Watch out, here comes all the bullshit about "well y'all all in our business" but you are right. Everything he listed was a lie except for the 20 seniors we lost due to graduation.
 
Has anybody seen Cleb lately?
I know he is sad since one of his top soldiers died, but he could show up around here every now and then

Don't ya'll need to hear from NCAA before you go hiring a new HC? I don't think this timing is good. But do what ya'll gotta do. With Ramsey and Coe with ALL of those sanctions and penalties, you probably can't get any better. But what do I know. You have put the bait out there, let's see what kind of fish you can catch. Hopefully,you still have Ramsey and Coe on the hook.

So then everything on that list is true except maybe the 2 yr APR ban. I do seem to recall that you all were not allowed to really recruit last year and if you did, you were very late publishing your list of recruits.
