Which is clearly flawed. Strength of schedule is a matter of opinion. The only clear cut way to determine who's the best is to have the 12 conferences place their conference champ in a playoff. Take all doubt out of the equation. Eliminate rankings and all of that crap. Especially Pre-Rankings.

You would see some VERY LOPSIDED scores.

No, it's not a matter of opinion. Like number1 said, give Boise State Florida's schedule and we wouldn't be having this discussion. They would be struggling to be .500 ... IF ... they had a winning record at all.

Boise State is not one of the best teams in this nation and does not deserve consideration in the national title discussion just because they took advantage of the Little Sisters of the Poor.

So you're saying that a conference winner with an 8-3 record should be in this playoff system instead of a team like Alabama that only has 1 loss which was only by 3 to the #1 team in the nation? Come on man!!

No, you have a 20 to 24 team playoff, like FCS does!

How do you know, you don't have a playoff. Just because they don't play in the SEC means they are weak Football teams.

There are some good teams outside of the SEC. There's no denying that, but come on man, the SEC is the premiere conference of college football. Half of the teams in the SEC are in the top 25.

Why aren't all these Boise State lovers making the same argument for the University of Houston. They're undefeated too aren't they?

That's exactly what I'm saying. If you don't win your conference then you don't make the playoffs that simple.

Thank you, Boise State has 5 games where they can choose their opponents. They chose to play Georgia, Toledo, Tulsa, Fresno State, and Nevada. Does that sound like a schedule of a team that knows they have been left out of the National Championship game due to their weak schedule? Looks like to me that Boise is happy with just playing in the BCS to. And don't give me that tired excuse of nobody wants to play Boise State.

That wouldn't make any sense at all. You can't have 11-1 Alabama and 10-2 Arkansas sitting at home while 7-5 UL-Lafayette of the Sun Belt and 8-5 Toledo of the MAC gets to play in the playoffs.

Bama only drops 1 spot in BCS..... LSU, OK State, Bama...

Stanford probably mad as hell right now!

You'll have some of the best teams not making the playoffs that way. Doing it that way, we'd have teams like Arkansas State, Nevada, Northern Illinois, and Ohio (Bobcats, not Buckeyes) in these playoffs instead of teams like Alabama, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Excluding top 10 teams while including teams that aren't even ranked ain't right.

Ok and I don't think it makes sense to assume that team A is stronger than team B if they never suit up and play one another. I also think it's really dumb to let coaches, the press, and a computer determine who a champion will be.

Maybe the NFL, MLB, NCAA basketball and baseball should all go with a computer to determine a champ.

You could even have maybe 8 conference champs (since there will only eventually be 4-8 "super" conferences anyway) and pick 2-4 Wild Card teams so the teams with good records who do win their conference can get in.

What's the difference from what I stated and what's going on now. You have Alabama potentially having no chance to win a National title because they lost one game during the Reg Season. Is that fair?

All this talk from Kendrick and Wahines about Boise, the SEC being overrated, blah blah blah...............I got one question......then why is it the SEC has the last 5 titles in a row against other conferences and 7 of the last 10??? Boise State looks good to me, but until somehow they play tougher opponents, in the current system that's in place, other teams will be rewarded for traveling a tougher road, bottom line. Like or leave it. We can all "what if" all day long but every team plays in this system. And Kendrick, that's BS about nobody wanting to go to Boise State to play..........I'm sure several teams would play them. They probably choose a neutral site so they won't have to play on that stupid smurf turf. :-)

Alabama only dropped 1 spot in the BCS poll this week. Truth be told, I still think LSU and Alabama are the best 2 teams in the nation. I'm all for a playoff system and have been for years over this BCS system, but it's excluding top teams just because they didn't win their conference that I have a problem with. Hell, going into this past weekend, there were 4 teams in the SEC that were in the top 10, 3 of which won't win the SEC, which by that logic, automatically excludes them from any playoff system.
