But for those who know there's no question who was better. More than any other position you should never judge Qbs based solely on stats. It could just as easily be said that Casey is the king of empty stats too. Not even a divisional championship.
Against ASU, he threw for 400 yards. To a stat watcher, I bet that's a great stat. But he had 67 pass attempts and 7 INTs to go along with those 400 yards. And more than that, he had an L to go along with those 400 yards. Not sure where/how that factors into your value measure.

Well if that was a typical game and not an outlier you'd be correct. But it wasnt a typical. He threw 8 ints all of last year and this year half his ints came in the one game. We won 8 games last year and we're on track to win 10 this year and have one of the top offenses in the nation. We haven't done that in over a decade and he's the main reason for it. That's after we went 10-13 the previous 2 seasons and finished at the bottom of the nation in offense. Thats value - added wins and subtracted losses. And here's the thing, the only players we added to the offense last year was Casey, a TE and a low impact running back. I'm not talking yardage, I'm talking impact.

Instead of giving your team credit for having a good game plan against the best Qb in BCF, you'd rather use the game as evidence that he wasn't that good to begin with. That's pretty amazing.

ummm, I never said or suggested "that he wasn't that good to begin with". I questioned how/why he would be considered "10 times more valuable than any other QB in bcf.
 
So even after watching Walley with that weak noodle ass arm struggle to throw those screens you still want stick with your flawed theory that Walley is better? At that point you probably could have admitted "hey, I made a mistake, Walley aint even in the same league." But then again, have you ever seen Casey play? There is no way you can watch both of those kids play and come up with your conclusion based on anything....(unless you have another agenda)


You want to change the facts to support your theory instead of using the facts to make your story. Thats backwards and thats the problem with your piss poor writing. You cant change whats right in front of your eyes.

Walley and Jenkins can not throw the ball downfield. How many 5 yard ducks does he have to throw before you realize your theory is FN stupid. Both of them Manage the GAme....thats it. There is nothing outstanding about either of them.

And thats why you are a terrible journalist if thats your profession or hobby. You cant separate your reality/profession from make believe/fanaticism. You've totally blurred the line on this thread.

My objective is not to be a fan when I write a story or a column. It would be an injustice to the readers of the blog and myself if I looked at everything through the eyes of someone who attended Jackson State or any other school.

That's why I love writing for the people I work for. They give me free rein to write about anything I want with very little restrictions. My superiors were intrigued by and enjoyed the angle I took on the Walley-Casey column.

Honestly, I don't care if fans of schools agree or disagree with what I write. I know going in not everyone is going to agree with everything I write. I do, however, have an issue with those who question my professional integrity or because they don't agree with something I've written. LOL

It's not your integrity we question, it's your knowledge. If you're going to be a professional, at least know what you're writing about.

But stop calling yourself journalist. you're a blogger. There's a difference.

If they are giving you that type freedom and they are not doing fact checking and you obviously are not trying to check your facts then they need their ass whooped. If they are supporting you for writing that crap, then their judgement needs to be checked. Im sure they dont let you write about anything important or anything they care about. If they knew the inaccuracy of this crap, they should fire your ass on the spot.

Nobody is questioning your integrity because we dont agree, Im questioning your integrity because YOU admitted that you never saw the kid play and you dont know the facts. I don't see what the issue is...outside of the fact that yall JSU folk think everyone HAS to share your feelings about Therriault (sp). The article deals with another qb at an HBCU who is putting up similar numbers..it was an open minded comparison and fair (imo) question.

Dude..thats not the case at all. Doug Jr is better than that kid. I would feel the same way if he had compared Walley to BamaStates QB. The dude admitted he never saw the other kid play. No writer worth his salt would do what Kendrick did. The guy is just an unprofessional bad writer. I bet SOG posted that mess on this forum before it went anywhere else to support his agenda. Dont know what that kid does for a living, but theres always work at the post office cause he has no future in sports writing.
