Clarionledger interview with JSU's New AD Vivian Fuller


She steps in as the #1 athletic director in the SWAC already. That really aint saying much looking at her competition, but it is what it is. All she has to do is not mess it up but to my understanding she is already making improvements.

She needs to look into getting JSU out of this horrible conference with these unambitious schools. You are judged by the company you keep so JSU cant be angry if people judge by our sister SWAC schools. We can do a lot better than the SWAC. We have carried this conference for too long and its time for us to go.

You're not fooling nobody son. All you did was replace He with She, MEAC with SWAC and FAMU with JSU.

That's code for Comegy won't be returning for the 2012 season but we won't hire his replacement until next March right after we replace our women's basketball coach.
 
I’ve never seen as many stray dogs. I’d like to work with the humane society to get some of these dogs off the street and find them homes.

LOL @ C-Leb. GR is just spewing the same ole same ole. He know damn well his school aint leaving the SWAC conference at this point.

Ya'll will go WAY before us. The NCAA is not going to kick anyone out due to APR unless it just gets crazy. JSU has performed well with APR and has grown to understand the minor problems that can hurt APR. JSU has never had major problems...no cheating, no scandals, etc... The NCAA has only adored JSU and for good reason. So keep hoping but your poorly-run school has a lot more issues to be concerned about than the number one HBCU in Academics and Athletics!

I don't think it will take that long to form a search committee and hire a new football coach. JSU will not be participating in the December championship game, so the committee can be formed by November, recommendations/interviews and selection can be done before the Christmas break. This would give the new coach an entire month to recruit before signing day 2012. At this moment, the AD should be covertly confirming a search committee and commence date only with the president.
