US strike kills top al-Qaida operative in Pakistan

We were doing that when Bush was POTUS.

So freaking what? That doesn't make it right that Obama is continuing that practice of spending all that dough when we are $14 trillion in the hole. What don't you Obamabots get about that? Bush ain't president any more. It was bad that Bush was spending all that money, and it is equally bad that Obama is still doing so.

The United States is spending more than $100 billion a year in Afghanistan, amounting to about $2 billion a week, according to the Huffington Post -- March 18, 2011

But here's the kicker, he did campaign on getting us out of the current conflict, fixing the debt, closing Gitmo and a few other things. In two years he has added more troops, added more to the debt, and Gitmo is still open. I don't think he would have gotten elected if he campaigned with the moto of "I'm pretty much going to do what Bush did yet at a faster rate and engage us in yet another war"!

Again, you Obama supporters keep going back to Bush. If you hated Bush so much, you should really hate Obama's policy, since he is pretty much Bush on steroids.

But hey, he was on the breach team and led Seal Team 6 into Pakistan and gave Bin Laden a double tap to the head with his suppressed MP-5!

He never said he would get us out of Afgainistan, infact he wanted to put more troops there, He can't close GITMO without congress approval. His plan to lower the debt is to go back to clinton era tax levels but that can't even make it out of the house.

R, I was on this page Bush's entire two terms. Bush got criticized from day one till his last day in office. These guys have extremely selective memories to say the least. As per the "Emperor's new clothes" dogma, they are too busy talking about how well dressed he is in lieu of his being naked at times.

But hey, Obama pulled a Rambo by being dropped behind enemy lines and crawled through 1 mile of land mines and barbed wire with only a book of matches and swiss army knife and stabbed Bin Laden two times in the eye with the fork blade and killed him.

Bush said he would get him, then said he doesn't worry about what the man is doing. Go figure

I'm telling you...Anti-Obamamania will never ever be please with anything Obama will ever accomplish. It's kinda sad.

Regular person: "Obama sent in troops and got rid of two of Al-Qaida's top men."

Anti-Obama person: "So what!? I don't feel any safer now than I did back then. Besides, it's not like Obama went in to Afghanistan and killed those men himself. And what about our domestic affairs? The closest he has ever come to addressing domestic issues is when he caters to the issue of illegal immigration. He promotes gays and lesbian. As far as Gov't spending, he is Bush on steroids."

I honestly want to know who these Anti-Obama people are gonna support in the next election. Or maybe they won't vote at all...just so they can throw another batch fit about the next "incompetent" POTUS. Cause honestly, I don't see another candidate who is qualified enough to give Obama any competition...not to mention be competent enough to lead us out of this situation we are in right now. Right now...Obama is the best option we have. If you choose to be dissatisfied, then, I honestly don't know what to tell you.

~shrugs~

Obama sure advanced on Libya without the approval of Congress, which is why his own party is questioning him right now about that mission.

When the Dems controlled Capitol Hill, the Republicans couldn't pass anything (a good thing by the way). Why Didn't Obama make any head waves then?

Well, why didn't Obama save the lives of innocent people in Darfur? Why wasn't there military action to halt genocide there?

The bombing campaign in Libya as been going on for more than 70 days without the consent of the U.S. Congress -- breaking the 60-day limit for unilateral presidential war-making.

The US don't have any troops on the ground or planes in the sky over Lybia. Why NATO need the permission of the US to carry out a NATO mission.

The US only provide logistics, drones, and intelligence support for the countries that are.

i get that non of you anti-Obama flag wavers had any problems with it until OBAMA got in.

Bush added a full $5 trillion, 79%, in debt from the time he took office to the time he left. That was a record. The deficit going up now has the money Obama is spending but the majority of it is the left overs from projects, wars, tax cuts, etc., that still has to be funded from the BUSH era. We still in Afganistan and Iraq. That shat still has to be paid for remember?

Ha! I don't listen to those media clowns who just stir stuff up for ratings or to advance an agenda. LOL. I get news from and views from segments that are critical of both parties and provide actual news not seen on cable news networks. I think more folks on here should do the same thing.

Is this the same source that told you US was still bombing Libya?

It seems that America is getting, maybe most of it, the "push" it has been asking for and the thing is I have been hearing a lot negative vibes coming from outside people who are calling him undemanding enough in some departments BUT it seems as though he is getting some of the things done mostly AND he stated a few days ago that he was happy about some things that he wanted done that didn't turn out the way he had planned which I am referring to the job situation where he was disappointed with the fact that had put the jobs out their but the employment in which he thought would increase didn't as he had anticipated (I can assume that the qualification were not maybe there, I DOUBT IT MOSTLY, or maybe the interests for those positions aren't quite there)!

Ya'll better keep up.
With the President of Yemen being seriously hurt and out of the country due to a militant attack on his HQ, the U.S. is about to open another can of secret whip-azz. That mofo pictured up there days are numbered. RIGHT CLICK and SAVE my words. OBAMA ain't playing.

Report: U.S. steps up covert strikes in Yemen

(CBS/AP)
WASHINGTON - The New York Times says the Obama administration has intensified the covert U.S. war in Yemen, hitting militant suspects with armed drones and fighter jets.

The newspaper says the accelerated campaign has occurred in recent weeks as conflict in Yemen has left the government there struggling to cling to power.
The report, posted on the newspaper's website late Wednesday, says Yemeni troops who had been battling militants linked to al Qaeda in the south have been pulled back to the capital. American officials hope the strikes will help prevent militants from consolidating power

What about Osama's #1 guy? He just put out a tape a few days ago. Are we going after him?

Yep..........You know they are.
They already got another big wig Al Queda in Pakistan last week.

This guy in Yemen has been on the U.S. hit list for the last 6 years though. Anwar al-Awlaki is worse than anybody in Afganistan right now. The "Arab Spring/Summer" has given the U.S. an oppertunity to do operations like these with all the fighting going on. The U.S. might never get another oppertunity to hit terrorist in Yemen like this again so they taking advantage of the "invite" the President has given them. No country in the Middle East want to see Anwar al-Awlaki people take over Yemen.
