I have no problem with gay people but i have a problem when wanting to be accepted then want to treat the gay movement like the civil right movement. thats bullshit. i honestly would like to hear from someone gay that thinks this way but they too afraid to speak up.

And why is it that ONE person is such a hypocrite that he claims to be a "Christian", but speaks like the proverbial devil himself? I wonder what else he's hiding (hint, hint) but that's your right to hide whatever it is.

Like I stated earlier, when a person makes like he's so against homosexuality, like some of these preachers and politicians, he's probably an in-the-closet homosexual. Like I said, that's his right though, including yours Cee Dog.:snicker:

I think Obama's referring to the principle of discrimination. I agree that the homosexual plight shouldn't really be compared to the civil rights plight to a degree, but I do understand when it comes to discrimination. A lot of homosexuals do suffer discrimination just because they are who they are.

I'm man enough to admit that and discrimination (homophobia) is something I'm personally working on to eradicate from my brain cells. It's just as wrong to discriminate against another when we ourselves don't want to be discriminated against.

As a Black man, I know what it's like to be discriminated against for unjustified reasons, so why would I want to perpetrate this evil on another human being who has not done anything to me? Live and let live.
Just my two cents worth.

As far as getting mad when you say being gay is wrong, I'd just like to know by whose standards are you going by. If it's religion in general (not just Christianity), then THAT'S why I comment on it. It has nothing to do with a person or anyone being gay/homosexual. It's the flat out discrimination of another human being that I get upset with. It could be a woman being discriminated against male chauvinists or a White person being discriminated against simply because he's White.
It's the principle of discrimination that I disdain. I hope that explains where I'm coming from and i hope you can comprehend what you just read.

Dude, I could really care less about what you think. It's you who've called me out in the past; it's you who've labelled me as being a devil because of my religious standing. You can dish out criticisms and childish comments, but when it's all being aimed right back at you, you can't take it. You then panic and start labelling folks different names because you're not astute enough to hold a mature conversation over long periods of time without resorting to name-calling.

One more thing, if being able to hold my own, while using mature language, then call me what you will, just don't call me illiterate and childish.
