I'm black and I believe that most rap is musical crap as well. that part doesn't sound racist to me, just like good taste in music.
 
Just young dont know how to take a sweep we have won every series Just something about that third game the relax. Even in every game we have lost in conference we jump out big and have collapsed in the 7th or 8th gotta stop that. We took 3 out of 4 this weekend moved up to second place gotta take the series next weekend from Alcorn

I agree that a lot of it is crap. Some of it also is REAL good. The thing about rap music is it is not appropriate for all settings. Particularly if you are at a family function because a lot of time the lyrics are obscene and derogatory....

This part doesn't make sense. So them calling rap music crap makes them a racist? It's kinda hard to believe white guys would even attend a HBCU and still be a racist.

Nothing was questionable about that call. It was on tv. The Gram runner clearly didnt go back and tag up on a fly ball. He just took off to home.

been bumping that lecrae. that's suitable for most situations. when I hold my afternoon detentions for my knuckleheads I give'm a little taste of that hopin' it will seep in and fix that contrary spirit they've got. lol

Man, I've heard my brother call rap music straight up trash and we are liberal as hell. :lol: :emlaugh:
 
Rap is just whats hip now you go to Major league to Big 10 SEC to Pac 10 baseball majority of kids play it is as come to plate music. Illinois and Iowa on tv now its like a lil wayne concert with every kid coming to the plate. If that what motivates him to hit the ball who cares. It just what everything has turned to a hip hop society. Dont know what happens in the stands so oh well
 
SU and Gram played some really good baseball Saturday. The winner of the SWAC will come from Louisiana. Both games were classic. SU was down 8-5 in the 9th of the 2nd game when Wilmy Marrero hit a 3 run shot to tie it up. Classic.

Some of yall are to old, complaining about the music. Unless they were playing straight curse words, hip hop is whats played at the games nowadays. Let the youngsters have their fun.

Also the first game SU had the bases loaded the last three innings I think, kinda loaded, had been tailgating all day :lol: , but didnt take advantage. Cador gave the first game away playing a crazy lineup. Had the 2nd slowest kid on the team batting leadoff. Really dont understand that one.

Unlike you, he didn't categorize. You said "most", he hinted that ALL rap music was crap. All rap music is not crap, neither is all country music or heavy metal music.

He also failed to realize that 90 percent of the Bama State baseball players he was supposedly there to support, were listening and shaking their head to the very rap music he was calling "crap". He unwittingly insulted their musical taste without even realizing it. I wonder how they felt about his ignorant comments.

Calling rap music crap was only part of what they were saying, but it's their right to say what they want, but some of their comments could easily have been construed as racist. Keep in mind though these guys didn't sound like they were the sharpest knives in the drawer.

By the way, none of the lyrics I heard had any profanity in them.
