Spin Off of Soft (sensitive) Men: The Independent Women

Do you avoid the independent women? Or is there something to it for a man to feel needed/wanted by a woman?

Women need to understand that men,we are competitive by nature and by nature we like to lead(real men that is). Just like women have that instinct to nurture, men have that intstinct to be competitive and lead. Women do not understand or realize that. When women have that competive nature and start acting like a man, then it could be a turnoff.Because in a subtle way the man instinctly see her as a alpha male trying to take the lead. Intellectually he may not be thinking it,but deep down inside he's feeling something ain't right. No man(that loves feminine women) wants to come home to a woman that he feels instinctly is acting like a man. We compete everyday with knuckleheads out in the street. So we need a relief when we come home.

I hear what you're saying.
Maybe I should say instead women who are self-sufficient then. Because there are women out there who are self-sufficient but still prefers and appreciates a man who takes the lead.

I think society has let the 'Independent" woman thing go to far. There is a big difference in being annoying, not knowing how to be happy, understanding your place, versus being able to handle situations without anyone's help. Being strong willed and strong minded is a good thing, but not knowing how to compromise is not cute and not healthy. It leads to a miserable life. Let's be honest men and women both need each other is a sense. Both of us were created to share and learn from one another. To compliment each other, not control and down grade each other. One reason cancer and other blood pressure and diseases are so high in the black community is because we haven't learned to let go and move forward to grow. Man and woman have a need for each other. There is no way around it. Women were created to be emotional and men were create to be strong. That doesn't mean one or the other has to be in control. Those two things should work as one. We need a balance of each to succeed. Also there is a reason why being married creates wealth. It creates it because of the partnership that is formed. Those who learn that move forward, those who don't fall backwards.

PS,
Please don't ask me to comment on this soft topics anymore. It shows a sign of weakness. I got a rep to uphold shawty.

Cee...you walking around with two brain on one neck. Just got to see what color the walls are when we get up in the morning, huh Mister?

I know y'all say it a lot but i don't know any women screaming "I'm independent. Don't need a man." I just don't see that. Are many women independent. They have to be cause nobody else is stepping to the plate. And honestly, I just don't see men that want a real dependent woman.

I had this same discussion with my guy friend. He always says, "A have not will treat a man better than a have." I always say, "Get a have not and she'll become a HAVE...just by being with you." I don't find women who really truly WANT to be dependent. That's a hard row to hoe. Waiting on somebody to give you funds, not being able to help with the burden of living....I just don't see that chick or the men wanting that chick.

An independent woman has, will and always will be attractive to men. They are like, wow, she is a go getter. I guess the real problem is relinquishing roles when you actually get a man. :noidea: But those who do it successfully, everybody reaps the benefits. So, I think men need to understand, it takes a minute to shift gears sometimes. Be patient and you all will get what you want.
