This is going to make a lot of people upset

But the Super Bowl should always be in Dallas. Seriously.

Not that Dallas is Miami, New Orleans or even San Diego when it comes to weather, night life and entertainment, but Dallas Cowboys Stadium is the ideal venue to host the biggest game of year.

If the Super Bowl is a spectacle, then that stadium in Arlington fits right in.

N.O., Miami, or somewhere in California. Maybe Houston, all other cities should be scratched off the list...

It appears that Houston has already been scratched off the list, but why you so say?

Yeah K , we're really going to get upset because you started another goofy thread.

Super Bowl XXXIV,January 30, 2000 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia

kendrick, while you're praising the dfw metro for superbowl foreverdom, don't forget that weather around these parts is very iffy. Just this past w/e, it was 70 degrees for 2 days. Tomorrow's forecast is a high of 33 deg w/ wintry mix and a low of 11 degrees 2morrow night. I'd think that AZ's stadium is on par w/ JJ's world, excepting those large LCDs hovering over the field.

N.O. and Miami will continue to get most of the SBs. Dallas will get a few more based solely on the stadium, because the media definitely won't like the weather/transportation.

I don't care about the weather. I'm just talking about Dallas Cowboys Stadium. That is the reason why I would like to see the Super Bowl in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Honestly I would not be opposed to seeing the Super Bowl being played in Pittsburgh Sunday. I think the NFL needs to go back to that format.

Re: This is going to make a lot of people upset....

Well I live in DFW...aside from the stadium, I see no reason to ever have another Super Bowl in north Texas. As far as I'm concerned, the SuperBowl should rotate between LA, New Orleans, and Miami. I will say that as long as Jerryworld is in Arlington, Houston will never host the SB again.

Re: This is going to make a lot of people upset....

i think the stadium alone is what attracts people to Jerry's World. I went just on the tour and it was amazing but i heard that prices are going thru the roof this weekend in Dallas like crazy prices. N.O., Miami, some good weather cities and i like the rotate.

Re: This is going to make a lot of people upset....

Word on the street in Houston is that the NFL is done with Houston. We got our 1 and, apparently, that's it for us...:noidea:

That is like that because McNair pissed off some owners and those owners are the deciding votes for getting the SuperBowl. Everyone kept saying that Houston had one of the best games, venues and amenities for everyone (team, media, fans) than any of the other cities. McNair is on one of the power committees and has done some things to piss some owners off and they won't vote for him to get anything. No way should Miami got those 2 games so close to eachother, HOuston was the obvious choice and he got scratched.

By any chance, are these some of the same owners that were telling McNair that the Texans are "on the right track"?....

Hell to the no! I live in Dallas and I don't agree with this thread. Yes the Stadium is nice but after you've been there once the appeal wears off and in the city itself everything is too spread out. I prefer N.O., Miami, or Cali. Also NYC.
