Alcorn Narrows Head Football Coach Down to 3





Dwayne White came from outta nowhere.

Well, at least the next HC will once again be a Brave. I think they gotta go with Spears tho. Hopefully, McNair will be willing to be the OC but Spears will probably be his own OC depending on how much Alcorn is spending on assistants.
 
spears is the logical choice. only alcornite with head coaching experience at the collegiate level. i believe if spears get the job- look for bruce eugene as quarterback coach:idea:

I think Alcorn has a lot of former players who would make good assistant coaches.
 
Hey C-leb... yall lose many of our former fans when he left yall? At least they will be closer now... I'm glad for Melvin (and them)

We know Spears is gonna beat AAMU every time and probably PV 'cause neither of them can stop a vertical passing game.
We knows Spears is gonna want to make a statement in games vs JSU and Southern.

However, is he gonna want to bust the clock vs JC and Barlow? :lol: Does he have any love for Grambling after what they did to him?

Yerp, this might be fun to watch. Spears might be the only version of an "old school" SWAC coach.

He used to light yall azzes up for sure!!! Man, I bet Melvin and B'way meet at halftime and hug each other.

I wonder if Melvin's gonna walk through the helmet?
 
MB, I am shocked that no BCF team has picked up Roach! To be honest, he was the backbone of Doug's early teams and the reason you won the SWAC in 2000.

Spears only lit us up in Hughes' last year with the help of Big Bruce and Comegy's first year when they came to Grambling with that D2 defense.
 
...and just so you know MB, the mere fact that he is at Alcorn makes him no threat to us. We are Jackson State; they are just Alcorn.

:nod: (no pun intended) They would be dumb not to go with spears and try to get the other two as assistants--:weee: that would put Alcorn in good shape to regain their swagger!

spears is really not a "hobo" guy. the oc that left was a "hobo" disciple of JC. i know he worked w/ JC at lane for at least 3yrs and was offered a job after spears was let go at TSU. JC knows which coach knows his system. spears will bring bruce eugene as QB coach. and VYRON BROWN who just took the job at PV- i believe that spears will bring in his own staff. whether he's an alcornite or not. good luck to alcorn st and their new head man. spears imo needs to keep at least one assistant from the previous staff, and that assistant knows the state of MS and has a great feel for the players and personel.
 
I think Alcorn is going to think long and hard about choosing McNair... The mcNairs are like Doug Williams to Grambling and Payton to jackson state. Plus hiring a McNair brings a lot of Cash to the School ( once everything is settled with Steve, im Sure Fred will be able to get some extra cash over to the Corn).. I believe that Fred will bring the Fans Back. the orgianal Air coaching Air canada... I dont know, i go wiith fred
 
Oh and you know that the hiring of McNair brings the McNair Clain back to the Corn, starting with Steve jr.
