Why does marriage have to be the end be all? A couple could just have a "situation" these days. There isn't a law written anywhere that sez a man just has to marry.

I guess I'm alluding to being non-exclusive. Live and let live is my motto. Do you and more power to you.

True..............And I'm living proof of it.

But what I am saying is if I'm dating someone for 3 years, and we living together or whatever, WHY NOT get married if it's that serious or ya'll "clicking" that good together. You date that same woman for 7 more years, having kids, living under the same roof, you could have been married 7 of those 10 years. If we ain't married after 3, years 4-10 was just wasted energy and a whole lot of other prospects done passed you by.

Besides.
If I'm going to turn down fine azz woman after fine azz woman for the next 10 years because I got someone at home, you better believe the one at home will have MY ring, THAT I BOUGHT and got no damm thank you card for---(MARTIN), on her finger.

Dayum that....I'ain tryin to be in my 40's chasing a 2 year old around. :xeye:

Especially if you stay in a city like ATL. why would you rush to get married in a city with ratio that lopsided of women to men. Fine, in-shape black women too.

That's why the dating game is ALL fucced up now.....especially when u have ugly men here in da A tryin to get an attitude. :emlaugh: :smh:

I'm glad you find that humorous...you need to seek some help because the way you post about women on this board is NOT healthy....seriously!

I mean, really. and :smh:

I'm sure CT realizes there are some people (men and women) that just don't want to be married so I don't think this thread was started about them.

But if one person in the relationship is expecting a marriage out of it...then it's not okay for the other person to drag dating out forever based on the reason of "I'm not ready". GTFOH.

Clearly...that is a HUGE flag to the other person that this person does not want to be married EVER. *shrugs*

You mean with all that education, you still don't the difference between "won't" and "want"?

Didn't George Bush get elected President twice by Americans who were smarter than him? He held the highest position in the world with a 2.0 GPA. :emlaugh:

Aye vette, you should see my uncle and his wife. She is 48 and he is 55 with a two year old. Unc don't even try to stop that lil bad joker. he just look at him. :lmao:

Yeh, but when you're meeting someone for the first time, no one is walking around w/ a billboard strapped to them saying "I WANNA' GET MARRIED." Wish that were the case though. Would help solve a lot of unnecessary problems and issues up front.

I guess for me, I see nothing wrong w/ being around someone, notice, I didn't say "dating," for a few w/ zero expectations in that matrimony dept or exclusitivity deal.

Honestly, I don't think people are wasting their time by dating for four years. What if you start young?

I mean if a person starts dating at 18 and 5 years in, they are only 23, they may know that they want to marry her but just ain't ready. Then, you graduate, search for a job, try to get your credit in order, etc... Sometimes it takes a while. Personally, I need another promotion before I start that process. I have actually considered getting engaged for our fifth year but I would still need another 2 years before marriage. I have a lot I want to accomplish in these next few years.

who seriously dates at 18? And ask a woman you've dated for 10 years and didn't marry if she thinks it was a waste of time...
