How long should you date somebody...

The timeclocks ARE real. Women cannot have children--esp without assistance--easily after 35 or so. So I do understand when someone is hitting their 30s and aren't in a real relationship and they want children within a marriage why it would bother them. And most if not all women--esp those never having been married before--are thinking that if you are dating, sleeping with each other, going to meet the folks...y'all are on the road to something besides friends with benefits. If you didn't know this, let me tell you.

4 years = rabbit mentality? Women are quick to jump in 100% in relationship, slow to go jump into business ventures, while men aren't. Men are 100% quick to jump into a business venture, slow to jump into a relationship. But 4 years...and you can't tell if this is a "forever" or not?? STOP. You have BEEN knowing what she will eventually be. Y'all just don't want to man up and say it. Men get comfortable with that puzzy and don't want to work real hard to get the next one to this comfo level. I say, tell her and if she stays...you good. If not, she's good.

Cassandra, when a man wants to lock it down, he will, without any hesitation, in fact he'll be the one
applying the pressure.
Women just don't wanna admit they're constantly giving their body to a dude that
don't want them "like that"

and even getting married doesn't mean he wants you like that
find out WHY he wants to marry you.

CT,
There are plenty of women having healthy babies in their late 30's in 2010. This is not the 80's anymore. Still, I can understand the concerns about health.

I am aware of this fact that's why I said the men aren't MANNING UP and being straight. Instead, men are sending mixed messages cause you, me and the Pope knows if a dude tells a chick, "Girl, I just want to fugg you. I ain't never gonna marry you. I just want to run up in every hole on your body a few thousand times, have a little convo, eat a little chicken but marry you? Naw..." there will be no puzzy for him.

AA women--like AAs in general--are having more problems now. It seems the constant stress plays a role.

You're right about business ventures though. With business ventures, I can do my research, put together a business plan, acquire financing and make a decision whether to go for it or not. It's fairly simple.

You can't do that with women because their unpredictable nature. It's sad, because I think relationships should be business ventures too. We should be doing whatever we can to make sure our partnership is as profitable as possible for as long as possible. Whether that is financially, emotionally, intellectually, socially, spiritually or all of the above. The partnership should be as profitable as possible for both partners.

However, since it's so difficult to determine if the marriage venture will be worthwhile, men wait. As they should.

it ain't about MANNING UP, the majority of todays women are not marriageable.

Tony...

So, the women say: "There are no good men". And the men say "There are no good women"

I wonder why it is I've always been dateable, apparently been marriageable and still considered so? And I live in a small town in Mississippi and most of my dates live elsewhere. :noidea: I don't get this. I think it moreso of a mindset than the reality. No one's perfect...but there is someone that is perfect for you. And by all means: KEEP THE STANDARDS HIGH.

Yes maam. I can name six of them who are due in two weeks. :lecture: CT, I can tell you a lot about OBGYN stuff.................. :read:

Okay...we got 7 out of 12 million. That sure is lots :xeye:. And Cee, you can't tell me more than what I already know... Hell, its apparent from you dudes comments, y'all don't know how women's minds work, much less their bodies.

Your statement is directed towards women not accepting that a man doesn't want her for the long term...but it's basically saying what CT is saying, it doesn't take 2-4-10 years of dating before getting married.

The male posters came in with the "what's the rush" response...but as Tony pointed out...if a man wants a woman and wants to keep her, regardless of how long they have been dating...he will lock her down.

But if locking her down requires locking himself down before he is ready then there could be problems.

But by dating in this manner (dragging on for years), he is in effect "locking her down" while he [in his mind and actions] doesn't feel "locked down."

CT, I ain't gonna explain to you how I know, but put it like this, when you lay down bsides a OBGYN you learn a lot................. You know women like to talk......................................................................................:read: Yes fibroids are the reason why a bunch of black women can't have kids, but there are tons of procedures to get by that now. Would you like for me to go into detail what kind and how they are performed?

If you date someone for 3 years, EXCLUSIVELY--NOBODY ELSE, GIVING IT THE "OLD COLLEGE TRY", and you still ain't sure if that is the one, you just wasting time. Ain't no way I'm going to exclusively date someone for 4, 5, 6......10 years. If we not married or engaged after 3 years, we are just seeing each other. Ain't gonna be no "not seeing other people".

How do you know I don't study this? :read: I do have over six degrees my dear..........

Yeah...Six degrees of Seperation!!! :lol::lol::lol:

If these women can't stay committed to a "dating" partner, what makes them think they would be able to stay committed in a marriage?

At what point would they get bored and decide it's time to get on the next one?

Maybe the guy refuses to commit because he knows they have rabbit in them which makes them essentially unmarriageable. :noidea:

Some woman or women really messed your ass up, didn't they?
