Eva Longoria Parker Files for Divorce

Yall look because you know a problem is there. Yall look for a reason. Marriage is a good thing, any one that says it is not is crazy. There is no greater love than having your soul mate with you in your life. My point is don't never put all your faith in man or woman though, because like anything else trials will come. Only the strong survives them. Marriage is a joy to those who except the responsibility that comes with it.
Dude, even through ALL that, a woman can STILL catch you and bypass all that.

And put it in the house and some place she doesn't look? :xeye:   There is NO place a woman doesn't look when it comes to her house. Every nook and hole is noticed and checked. And wouldn't try hiding it in the car either. We check there, too. Better keep that phone at work.

I didn't. Nor cared to. He never gave me a reason to want/need to.

But I know the mind of a woman, and a woman can/will check if she feels the need/want to.

:retard:

That might be true is that person's spouse felt and behaved the same way.

However, with the abundance of low-quality men and women we have today, the chance of that happening is very slim. See the divorce statistics.

I guess you're a perfect man, huh?

No man is perfect or good.

However, I do believe there are certain standards one should uphold to give their marriage the best chance of survival. Many of us fall way short and have no business getting married. Period. The same is true for most women.

Can't argue with you on that!

That's an invasion of privacy. :shame: Yeh, that's pretty foul. I'm fairly funny about the "your" "my" hands-off stuff... This made me recall what happened near year 11 of my former marriage where my X actually picked up and ANSWERED one of my cell phones. I damned near tried to toss her out of the car as I was driving down 121 in Frisco. I ripped into her for what seemed like a whole solid hour because I really felt disrespected #1 and #2, the call originated from the niece (older now lol) of a former chick I banged when I first hit Dallas, so, we were all like FAMILY over the years- strictly - I even had keys and access to the former banged chix parents house as if they were my own parents, that's how they treated me. All the niece wanted was for me to change out her brakeshoes on her truck soon. Nothing more, nothing less. But ol' girl thought I was fuggin' the niece like I used to fugg her aunt 12+ yrs earlier. :retard: Man that really pissed me off something fierce. Trying to be NICE and do something NICE for a single-parent trying desperately to make it and whose son was wheelchair bound and I get accused and shouted/cussed @? Aw naw! I couldn't get rid of her fast enough soonafter.

Wow.

Ummm ... 50%, 40% and 27% is not success, dear.

That's a called failure.

And many of those people are not in successful marriages, they are just together.

How the hell is it a failure?? Granted ALL marriages are not perfect- believe it or not, it's work. And unfortunately, folks today don't won't to work at it (my grandma gave me this advice long before I even thought about marriage)- they just give up; better yet, they go into a marriage thinking that things or even the person they are marrying will change once the "I do's" are exchanged. It doesn't work like that. And I learned that by watching my mom and dad (34 years), my grandparents (56 years), and all my great-aunts who are either still married or widowed and never remarried.

Not saying that's the case for all divorces. In most cases, shyt happens. But I refuse to let numbers and other folks situations affect me and mine. Like Fred said earlier, I constantly pray about it and leave it in God's hands. Simple as that.

If the odds for failure are that high, how can any sensible person argue that it's a risk worth taking? Seriously. Considering one's mental and financial well-being. The well-being of any potential children involved. :noidea:

Everything u do in life is a RISK. But u gone ahead and play it safe and stay single.

U get on my dayum nerves with these split azz good/bad personalities of yours. :emlaugh: But u said dat right dere.

Ya'll done got into all this discussion over a marrage of convenience that was nothing more than a big PR stunt. They were dating, in the spotlight, Desperate Housewives and the San Antonio Spurs was the hottest thing going then and they went for it. Now the luster has worn off and it has run it's course. They was never together anyway. Her on one side of the planet filming and him all over the planet playing basketball.

Glad Tony Parker was smart enough to get a Pre-Nup in place. She ain't getting shat past that. And spousal support. That fool done lost her mind with no kids in the picture. They need to do away with that shat. Why he got to pay her rich azz when she just as rich as him. :smh:

Ummm ... marriages today are different from marriages entered into 30 and 50 years ago. I'm sure you can agree to that.

Putting things in God's hands is great, but how many times does God let us suffer the consequences of our foolish decisions? Don't assume God will do anything to assure the success of your marriage. That is greatly dependent upon YOU and the person you choose to marry. Let's not be naive.

Everything u do in life is a RISK. But u gone ahead and play it safe and stay single.

Indeed ... and I will. :)

I sped up to 80mph or so and told her to get the *F* out! :slap: All while constantly asking her does she work for at&t, if so, you can indeed answer because it's THEIR phone and THEY pay the monthly bill, otherwise, she shouldn't even look @ the damned device. I thought it nothing more than a device of control she wanted to exert and that dog never hunts in my life like that. I pulled over, got out and went over to the passenger side and shouted/cussed until I caught a GREAT headache after she started accusing me of fuggin' someone that I call "niece" and that lil' woman-girl calls me "uncle," as I'm a major part of their family. That was highly offensive to me and what she was saying was that I had no morality, which I had great morality during that time.

:lol::lol::lol:

I promised my X that she would be gone from my life and those same folx she accused me of fuggin' would still be evident and relevant in my life. How prophetic I was.  :happydance: :D

Dang Tone! PM here still works, I think.

When B-L-A-C-K folx ask questions such as that, my first thought is either you're fvcking NOSEY as fvck or you're FBI/CIA. Now, which one are you?
